CSBin

Post by Lunever »

I've just downloaded CSBwin but it complains that it can't find the graphics.dat, although it is there.
Paul, can you maybe help me?

You gotta tell me more than that for me to debug this at
such a distance.

It is all explained in the help text that appears when the
file cannot be found.

What directory is CSBwin.exe in?
Did you invoke it from the command line?
If so, what was the default directory when you typed the command?
If so, is there a directory specified on the command line?
If so, what directory?
Did you run it from a batch file?
If so, where is the batch file?
If so, is there a directory specified?
If so, what?
Did you run it from a shortcut?
If so, what are the 'target' and 'Start in' parameters?
Did you directly click on the executable?

Is there a config.txt file?
If so, is there a directory specified in the config.txt?
If so, what directory is specified?

What directory is the graphics.dat in?
What directory is the config.txt in?

Did you use the batch file that came with the game
or did you try to invent your own way of doing things?

After getting the answers to these questions we will
be in a better position to debug your problem.

Wasn't much at home last week, so I couldn't check 'til today.
I figured it out finally, CSBWin works now on my machine.

So, what do I have to do to watch all those record-movies?

If they are as I released them then eachj is self-contained.
Each has everything needed. Just put the files into a
folder, run the executable, click 'dungeon', and at the
prison door you select 'playback' from the 'misc' menu.
