cloned monsters' side views

Post by linflas »

most of creatures are symetrical except for skeleton/trolin/antman. if you look carefully, antman's hand carrying the club changes because we flip the side bitmap : same thing for trolin and skeleton. is it possible to have two bitmaps for right side and left side cloned monsters views ?

This would be a nice addition, but I don't think it's essential. You don't really notice it as an issue while playing.

Actually, I've been playing around a bit with asymmetric monsters and this does look really, really bad on higher res images.

For example, a creature that has a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, when viewed from the side will never show you what's in his other hand, so you'll only ever see the shield (or sword depending which view you decided to create).

Is this a complicated thing to achieve GG?
