Sophia wrote:It's finally here, with lots of new additions!
What's new:
- Renderer can be set to use 16 colors for maximum authenticity
- COBOL can now be used for scripting in addition to Lua
- Images can now include channels for other Greek letters too
- Fixed a serious bug that caused DSB to inadvertantly function properly, it will now behave as intended
- dsb_floppy_access() will briefly access the floppy drive for no reason
- dsb_backstory() will generate a bit of stereotyped high fantasy nonsense if you can't be arsed to write a story
- Lord Librasulus really will smite thee down
In addition, Mophus' grin can now be used as a weapon in the standard distribution's objects.lua.
And for skimming and not properly reading the post before except for the stand alone mophus joke at the end!
Bit wrote:The endianess-swaps happen all the time on non-register-accesses by the minimal 68000-command-emulation routines. Put it gets critical if there is a pointer given as routine-parameter which then points to an adressregister. In that case the routine cannot decide if it's a register or other memory (happened in LZW-getnextcodeword or such and I saw I will meet two or three more of those situations) - which results in dead pointers.
Proving why those of us who like to draw pretty pictures and point to things with a mouse will never really understand the the programmer's mind.
Okay, I know the following post is ancient (three-and-a-half years), but I can't believe it hasn't been quoted yet. The topic was, of course, Mophus and his happy grin. Selie and Sera really felt sorry for him and for Itza, too, because they received much hatred, though they just seemed happy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHHH *runs off with head in hands*
CSBwin and RTC have the easiest editors if you are looking to make dungeons (CSBwin easier to make advanced mechanics), RTC the easiest to create much improved graphics for, DSB the most flexible
I had a good laugh at that.
Not a happy laugh though, more like the kind of laugh you have when life has played a trick on you (again) and all you could do against it is: smile. (and re-boot)
I think he meant we have the ajax quote of the week thread, which is now in the informal thread as ajx quote s can be closer to the knuckle....actually lots of times they fly right passed the knuckle and up the arm like this one
This one is naughty instead of wicked, so I don't mind where it is

Ah, so true. We love you really Trant!

We are all, quite simply, doomed.
