Warning huge time waster ahead. These are some of the top end androids and robots out today.

let's start with the creepy but somewhat human looking..
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iCR2PFrLkwA&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=MY8-sJS0W1I&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RuxFJcG9SEo&feature=related

More expressive face
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhaLcTdK ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTAE6iIr ... re=related

Less human looking.. but a bit more active..
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iaRAf1PLRjo&feature=related

Dino bots.. roll out!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=jqR8vDLp_9w&feature=related
the sounds of the feet are annoying, and the wiggle of the rubber bits destroys a lot of the illusion
these ones look better, but some are controlled by human
http://youtube.com/watch?v=OtfMIiinJso&feature=related

Dental robot is cool.. just think of the training advantages.. a more interactive environment
http://youtube.com/watch?v=dUuKlm4be0g&feature=related

this one however by far has the most realistic movement!!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=W1czBcnX1Ww

smaller
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JYptK21vAgQ&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=YBSK7LYpg9w&feature=related
watch how it puzzles out the terrain

now if that group worked with this group to make a new robot.. they would have something amazing
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q3C5sc8b3xM
because this could have been prevented! :D

That Big Dog is absolutely incredible!! Awesome the way it recovers from a slippery fall or after it was kicked. Shame it sounds like a giant fly though!

It looks like some kind of slang dictionary, or something that teaches English slang via manga, maybe?

The pink text up top says "Try reading [this] out loud!", the sign translates to "FUCK! is fundamental" and the blue text to "Let's say 'FUCK'." I can't read the other text, it's too small and/or distorted.

Cool, I didn't know you could read Japanese!

I have an issue with this though: "I like you. Come over to my house and fuck my sister!" Probably not the best way to teach the Japanese about western slang...

that's why they need to join honda.. the honda one is not so bad.. I but it can be even more silent.. which is where they need to put their focus next.

you can't have a machine which whirrs when it's pretending to be alive..

*whirrrr*.. "I'm a real boy"... *whirrr" "No really"... ...... *whirrrrr*

You know, I'd have to agree with the manual that, for american english slang anyways, the topic of that lesson is fundamental indeed. It's a verb, it's a noun, it's an adjective (with a minor modifcation), it's even a punctuation mark!

Seriously though, what do you expect from a free image hosting site that, judging by the rest of the contents, seems like a hosting haven for lame internet memes, questionably humorous "motivational posters", and chest pictures of drunk women?

I really wish I had a "rolling around on the floor slapping it with my hand, wailing and crying with laughter" smiley. This will have to do:

Yeah, I know, but even for a slang tutor, it's a bit crass isn't it?

Now that Vancouver is hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, these are some questions people the world over are asking! Believe it or not these questions about Canada were posted on an International Tourism Website. Obviously the answers are a joke but the questions were really asked.

Q: I have never seen it warm on Canadian TV, so how do the plants grow? (England)
A. We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around and watch them die.

Q: Will I be able to see Polar Bears in the street? (USA)
A: Depends on how much you've been drinking.

Q: I want to walk from Vancouver to Toronto... can I follow the Railroad tracks? (Sweden)
A: Sure, it's only Four thousand miles...take lots of water.

Q: Is it safe to run around in the bushes in Canada? (Sweden)
A: So it's true what they say about Swedes.

Q: It is imperative that I find the names and addresses of places to contact for a stuffed Beaver. (Italy)
A: Let's not touch this one.

Q: Are there any ATM's (cash machines) in Canada? Can you send me a list of them in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Halifax? (England)
A: What did your last slave die of?

Q: Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Canada ?(USA)
A: A-fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe. Ca-na-da is that big country to your North...oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every Tuesday night in Calgary. Come naked.

Q: Which direction is North in Canada? (USA)
A: Face south and then turn 180 degrees. Contact us when you get here and we'll send the rest of the directions.

Q: Can I bring cutlery into Canada? (England)
A: Why? Just use your fingers like we do.

Q: Can you send me the Vienna Boys' Choir schedule? (USA)
A: Aus-tri-a is that quaint little country bordering Ger-man-y, which is...oh forget it. Sure, the Vienna Boys Choir plays every Tuesday night in Vancouver and in Calgary, straight after the hippo races. Come naked.

Q: Do you have perfume in Canada ? (Germany)
A: No, we don't stink.

Q: I have developed a new product that is the fountain of youth. Can you sell it in Canada ? (USA)

A: Anywhere significant numbers of Americans gather.

Q: Can you tell me the regions in British Columbia where the female population is smaller than the male population? (Italy)

A: Yes, gay nightclubs.

Q: Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada? (USA)
A: Only at Thanksgiving.

Q: Are there supermarkets in Toronto and is milk available all year round? (Germany)
A: No, we are a peaceful civilization of Vegan hunter/gathers. Milk is illegal.

Q: I have a question about a famous animal in Canada, but I forget its name. It's a kind of big horse with horns. (USA)
A: It's called a Moose. They are tall and very violent. They roam the city streets eating the brains of anyone walking close to them. Spraying yourself with human urine before you go out walking will scare them off.

Q: Will I be able to speak English most places I go? (USA)
A: Yes, but you will have to learn it first.

As if it's news that the England, USA, Sweden, Germany, and Italy have quite a few stupid people living in them. :P
I bet other countries do too! :P

Why, I dare say, worldwide, there are probably about 3 billion people below the 50th percentile in intelligence! The horror!

They feel smarter because, like an overwhelming majority, they have more legs than average.

It's actually funny the guy from italy asks about the male to female population in british columbia. I think someone recently told me that in victoria the ration is 3:1 female to male. So it's much easier for men to get a date there :P

Excellent! As soon as I saw the intro and the heard the underscore, I thought "Alien spoof" -- and what a good one! I thought the 'creature' was actually going to say "Clean this mess up" but it was even better than I expected. Nice. :-)
