I've started getting those damn cheap cock-ardening pill spams at work now. Bloody embarrasing bastards, I happened to have the words CHEAP VIAGRA PILLS: MAKE YOUR WOMAN SQUEAL in quite large type on my screen when one of the directors came and sat next to me. Never before has a slowly raised eyebrow and slightly curled corner lippage communicated so much...

A friend of mine started getting those stock market tips spams, but to an account that he closely guards ... anyone else getting those to a trusted account you regulate?

Can I also recommend not giving out your personal personal e-mail address even to career/work places....I now get the occasional resume spam oing 'oh, we read your resume, and think you'd like this site'

grrrrrr

ha! I knew it when I first saw his www site (it was something like cheappils.cm or whatever)
NO, I HAVEN`T enter his #$@%$ pills-site lol - in a guestbook the adress of the site appears at the bottom of the screen always when you have a mouse pointer on the .www on the right side from a user`s nickname (you don`t have to click it to get know his adress)

Umm, can I suggest people don't look at the websites of people who register, if I thought they were harmless and safe I'd not go through the whole annoying hassle until our database because too large!

And no, I think it'#s been the usual amount..it goes in waves. You may only notice it becuase I'm working harder at work or was off for birthday...I tend to twat them quite quickly when I see them.

You have to wonder how anyone still falls for those types of scams in this day and age, when pretty much everyone should be spam-savvy.

The amount of emails I've had exclaiming "CH3AP V1AGR4!!! existential monsoon papercut windows..."

If only I could figure out how to set Gmail to block addresses and bounce the unwanted mail back as an unrecognised address...

I actually wonder if it's self protection... so many spams are so close to being perfect you would fall for them, but then have stupid spellign ,so although it's a serious problem, it's not serious enough that there is a major public outcry and serious money/resources devoted to puttig everyone involved behind bars...

only this year i get, more or less, 500 emails about cheap RoLeX/ rulex/ rolix/ roliks, cheap \/iagras, legal drugs (?where is it, in Holland? ;) ), university diplomas (?????), and one guy offered me 50% increasing (... err..what was it.. IQ I think) for free! Sadly I forgot his web site ;(

I don`t use anti-spam filter anymore, because it also cancelles some emails from my from people I know (wchich I don`t have on my adress list) !

Hero Cat: kick him out

BTW: could you disable adding www sites on the memberlist for new members? That would reduce spamming problem, I think

Spammers would still join and put the spamm link in their desciptions of the interests I reckon

I wish I had a more exciting and female oriented reason for not being here for a while but I haven't. I'm just lazy coupled with the fact that I've had no Interweb :( I'm back now though so you can all run and hide by not speaking to me in flashchat! HAHA!

Oh and nice one Paul! :D

I`m getting strange emails with
Help Echelon! Don`t let the terrorists set a BOMB in Washington! They`re our last secret hope against the Iraki Sect of Explosive Murdering Subversive Communist Conspiracy!
messages on the bottom of normal text (added automaticly, I guess without the sender`s permission). Anyone knows what the hell is it? There`s no link or adress. A joke? A spam? What`s that "conspiracy" and how can I stop them?
