'Combine' implies you are tryign to push them onto the wall item using the mouse... as I answered before, don't tryiong to 'use' things by clicking on them like that, try out actions or passive thigns also

You need an item that would banish something from feiry or from hell or both perhaps : )

If you are playing this like DM you could have found the means by now, if you aren't then you may well have missed it on your travels before the riddle room

Ok got it. Now stuck on the neta altar and down below the gor altar where there is a zo hole opposite a wall marking.

I must be thick or something. I still cannot do anything useful with the neta altar. I'm pretty sure I need something from it as I don't appear to have enough items to finish the game and I've been everywhere else... your clue inspired me at work today, Beo, but since I'm home and tried out some stuff, I'm just as stuck as before.

Well, we could have a long theological discussion about that!

You cannot prove true faith, so my best guess in terms of this game would be 'prayer'. I tried sleeping by the altar but nothing. I guess I'm on completely the wrong lines.

ok, still stuck, sorry if i'm not creative or too DM-ish, whatever... here's my inventory, i think i tried everything, i also tried all spells without any result.

You'll be able to find it pretty quickly though I'm sure...

The fact that I thought you would have it, should give you a clue as to what it might be though!

Did the zo but stuck after..looks like I need items I don't have.
Still stumped by neta altar.
Tried dropping all items.
Tried holy water.
I have a cross around my neck.
Tried various other things.
I can survive the blast if I have full health but I think that might not be intended.

Neta altar: Examine the cross and think about the riddle again. Oh, actually, you might have tried something correct, but not fully done it - you still need to interract with the altar to show your understanding (so for example praying without touchign the altar wouldn't work)
I'm scared you can survive the full blast!

DM:
You need to solve the VI altar. Think of everything you could do, DM and not, with the VI altar...and also extend your thinking about it's function.

I am now home and disappointed to discover that after a clue from Beo when I thought I had it solved, I still can't fathom the neta altar.

How the f*ck do you do this? I have the cross equipped and can't re-examine it without it vanishing, but Sophia said it was a crimson fish, so I thought I could still do this bit........ waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I have to say that the Vi altar solution was a little obscure...

But anyway, with a few pointers from Beo and Sophia last night, I completed it. A fabulous little adventure, great fun! Well done.

ok, thoroughly enjoying the game so far, got a good way into it, just a minor question:

I cannot find the gauntlets anywhere. I have wandered around in circles for ages now and without them, I am stuck. I've been looking for a couple of days now. Am probably missing something really obvious, but can't see the solution. I solved the wand thing, I've got just abotu every other item i currently need. Any hints would be gratly appreciated!

Could'nt check the description of the cross due to it dissappearing when i took it off. I've progressed now but haven't got much time to play tonight.

Look everywhwre, check every wall and press every wal item, its the good old DM way. The gauntlets are after the initial set of rooms (passed the troll) but not as far as the three key area

The cross is described as being expensive and gaudy looking...

Finished DP yesterday. I never had to solve the manhole puzzle though so there is still some unfinished business. I think I see what needs to be used but can't pick it up.
Is it the thing you get the star from?
Also I never killed the dragon or the banshee, can you?
