Umm, we hopefully are pretty good at trimming them down, at least releatively recently

On that note though, there is a see-saw thought about trimming down the database with a 0 post count user purge to catch old spammers bloating our database, and simply people who don't come here anymore

Hooray for another forum-inspired dream! In it, Beo called me on my cell phone to ask me about the address of some forum member (don't know who) to contact him/her about the DM community meeting. Oh, and thanks for making an effort to sound very clear and understandable on the phone Beo.

For some strange reason, I've been reading old threads I've made both here and on other forums. I've realised that I really do come across as a grumpy old shit. So, I've decided to start being nice to people instead! :) :) :)

The only problem is that one of the rules I live my life by is "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups".

I wonder how I will be able to deal with this conflict?

I wreckon a forum needs someone to 'tick a person off', though. If not the quality of posts can degrade, and cr*p like amiga vs atari gets very monotonous and CAPITALISED.

You've reminded me once to keep to the subject of the thread, for example, and now I do think a little more before pushing that 'Submit' button.

Hurray for grouchy ancient faeces!

Heh he, I wasn't even thinking in terms of being a grumpy moderator. Generally, a lot of my stuff comes out grumpy! :)

Not anymore. How's all you sweety pies doing? Hope everything is lovely and tickety-boo! I'm off to pick flowers and buy a kitten! :D

Oh, it's ok, I'll happily take on the role of spankage and delete any trantor who posts stuff

Did I say trantor...I meant..person ... :D

And for ****'s sake please, this is a general chit chat thread, NOT for specific chat thread - if you have a specific area of chit chat then use another ****ing thread

So, anyway, how'd that sporting event undertaken by that well supported team in that much beloved sporting event go on the dat it was held? A satisfactory result under the rules it is played by?

And i thought I was insane. Fuzzface is positively barking...

As for stupid people in large groups meaning this forum? You may very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment .

You're aware Ian Richardson died yesterday? A great loss. :( A quote on the BBC website said "Richardson could out-act his co-stars with the merest nudge of an eyebrow." So true...

It was why I was using the quote. I really, really need to get hold of House of Cards on DVD and watch it again.

Damn, I couldn't make it last long. I asked for something on another forum and re-reading my post it sounded demanding and a bit rude! I edited it to add please and thank you.

It's weird, because I'm very polite in real life but somehow forums wind me up. It really must be the idiot mentality of crowds that gets to me.... :?

Lol, easy now! It's hard to stop putting tones and stuff into your post, and not realise how it comes across.

I have the three set DVD of House of Cards etc,, when I can find decent DVDs and get the time, I will burn them aswell as The Corportion DVD for you :D

Just had another one of those crazy forum-inspired dreams, and this time, it didn't even feature Beo. Instead, I dreamt I was sitting on the sidewalk in my little town with Sophia, and we were watching the Superbowl that somehow took place right there on the street!

I'm writing this for Trantor's benefit (how is the new job, btw?):

I had a dream last night, which I actually remembered so it's unusual.
In it I read a post/reply from beowuuf chastising me for writing utter shit in the forums (which is about right, beo).
Next I can remember thinking.... Isn't that Gambit's job? :P

Copied DVDs? Never touch 'em... *whistles innocently*

And I resent the light slight that I tell people not to write shite! I wouldn't survive here either!
