Clsoer to the temple the sounds of screams and the occasional crash of fighting can be heard. A good vantage point would see that the temple has been surrounded on all sides by the Ekeel. Two on the door still maintain their positions, although thye have turned to regard what is happenign inside. There are and two more at the back entrace aswell, maintain a similar vigil.

On either side of the temple a further Ekeel stalked backwards and forward, as if ensuring nothing tried to escape from the windows. Rods of twisted design were held in their hands, rods that wrapped aroudn the hand before meandering back to point wherever the Ekeel gestured.

However, their vigil seemed without purpose, for any human that ran from the temple and screamed at the silent tall guards was allowed to run passed. For some reason these silent shadows were standing firm, were waiting for somehting from inside the temple.

The two creatures beckoning Ameena stop, panting as if the walk were exherting them immensely. They make overly wide gestures for her to carry on, and point definively at the entrance with the two cat creatures.

Sorry, need sleep, or at least to getinto bed, mooe later!

Ameena crouches within the shadow of a nearby building, her gaze flicking suspiciously between her guides and the feline-looking creatures patrolling around the temple. They want her to go inside?
She tilts her head inquiringly at one of the creatures, silently requesting more information, or at least a good enough reason for her to step closer to the apparently-hostile cat-creatures and risk being noticed by them. Almulsis may have proven himself unlike most other creatures she's met in his willingness to speak to her and generally treat her with some form of respect, but that does not yet mean that she will put herself in danger just because he, or some ally of his, wishes her to.

The two creatures seem to sense the hesitation, and seem to regard her in consternation, if such expressions can be read on those strange ape-like faces, at the reasonable thoughts.

The two silently chatter to themselves, the noise of their speech cannot apparently carry in this plane, and even as they try talking to Ameena it is obvious their mouths move too fast in a totally incomprehensible language.

Finally, one simply pushes his fellow into a position of standing the same as one of the cat centuries, and then repeatedly mimes simply walking passed. In one mime he even gives a small waves to the other as he passes, and the other bows!

They again regard Ameena and beckon, and one emotion she can feel projected - fear. Not just fear for their pet, and apparently not fear of the Ekeel. They are worried for something else, and that is because, in turn, they greatly fear something inside the temple.

They do not remain any longer, and with final swift conversation to themselves they draw themselves up and run towards the temple.

Ameena frowns. Just try walking past them? True, they seem to be ignoring the fleeing humans, but she herself has seldom been ignored - those who see her tend to attack, or flee themselves.
Still, she will not know unless she tries. And it may be that they will not expect her to flee in the way she plans to, should they attack. Provided that if they do so, they do it while she is still outside.
She rises out of her crouch, and, still keeping the soulstone clutched in her right hand, walks toward the temple doors. It feels so strange, voluntarily walking toward one of these structures, toward creatures who will most likely prove hostile. She remains ready to bolt at the first sign of aggression from any of the nearby feline creatures, and keeps her gaze fixed on the open doors, wondering again exactly why the strange, non-hostile creatures wish her to enter. Something to do with Almulsis, surely, but...

A stray creature, one of these self-titled 'humans' runs out of the entrance in a blind panaic and passed Ameena. It does not heed Ameena nor the Ekeel previously, yet the figure still ensures it does not run into either.

The ghost guides have already entered without being seen. The cat creatures facing each other to not break for this human either, although a subtle shift in weight show they have at least seen the figure running out. The cats carried on looking into the doors, but now tense as Ameena approaches, finally breaking position to turn and face her. They draw themselves up, and remove their hoods to fully expose their features and yellow cat eyes. Taloned claws glint in the moonlight, playign with the edges of their dark cloaks.

As one, the creatures then bow low to her. They nod once, as if one set of professionasl to another, then turn back to continue their dual positons as sentinals to and from the temple entrance.

Ameena pauses, ready to flee if the creatures attack her, then stares in surprise as they bow to her. She has seen creatures bowing to each other before, and knows it is generally a gesture of high respect. So why are these creatures bowing to her?
Unless they are attempting to persuade her to lower her guard so they may strike. Well, they will have no such luck.
After sparing the creatures abother wary half-glance, she passes through the doors into the temple, following the strange guides.

The external perception that allows her to read some minds could offer no insights inro the the cats this time, and seems as confused as her.

However there is no time to dwell on such matters as the scene inside the temple is bewildering. Human dwellings would be a mystery, so who knows if such twisted smashed items and decorations lying on the floor are the norm. However, it is certain that the battle taking place in the cleared middle of this structure is not.

All the villagers who have not escaped are lying prone, certainly dead. They lie in piles ontop of one another or flung to the far corners. With such a massacre, two things are strange. The first is that the amount of void and black energy that such an act should release would be palpable to one of Ameena's talents, and yet there is none. Infact, there is not even the usual background traces of such energy that old buildings and old areas would accumulate.

The second unusual thing would be that with the exception of one or two bodies lying at the bottom of piles, none have any marks that would tell of how they died. No claw marks, no burn marks.

These last two are significant as there are many Ekeel engaged in the battle infront - about eight to ten are dancing around in a swift, ferocious yet beautiful dance. They fly into the centre of the room, weilding their claws or bringing to bear an odd assortment of twisted rods that spit red and black fire. Some also weild bladed items that rise above the group in their hand then fall into the unseen centre. Without fail though, the Ekeel are then knocked viciusly to the floor, or flung backwards against the far walls. Most manage to dust themsevles off and stand firm again to race back to the huddle, but occasionally one does not get up easily, or at all, and there are already one or two cloaked furred bodies twisted into the mass of humans that seem just as dead.

Ameena cannot see what is at the centre of this battle. The cluster of fighters is too great, and besides one cat creature stands close to her blocking a better view. It stands tall, yet still. It holds a long staff, with a thick body and two thinner ends, a staff of jet black with smooth surface, otherwise unadorned. The figure seems to be holding back, not out of fear, but for some other reason that Ameena can sense is causing it to radiate distress and anger with the abilities of that external perception.

However, the real focus of Ameena's journey into this place is close to the door. The two ghosts have joined a third that was hovering around a strange beige lump on the floor. The three ghosts do not regard her, instead huddled in their fast method of discussion.

Ameena sees that the area on the floor is infact a set of beige clothing, and the shape resolved itself as being the prone body of Almulsis. It is not moving, and even if the soulstone was not a clue, the large hole in his chest would speack to his soul no longer dwelling in this form.

Ameena glances warily at the nearby feline creature, and at those who are battling the...whatever it is they're fighting, then steps closer to the motionless body of Almulsis.
So he is dead.
Ameena starts to turn away, then pauses and regards the creatures huddled around the corpse. Are they expecting her to do something about this, or did they simply wish to show her that the human is dead? Well, knowing such will save her waiting for him to contact her again. Perhaps they will want her to dispose of the body - she has seen various species do such with their dead, in various ways - burning them, setting them to float down rivers in boats, burying them, or simply leaving them as they are.
She crouches down, feeling safer in this more covert position, and watches the guide-creatures in their discussion. However, she keeps her ears angled in the direction of the feline creatures, lest any of them show her any attention.

The creatures seem to notice Ameena. They do not come forward, instead they gesture to the body and point to it. They want her to do somehting, and she can similarly start to feel the gemstone in her hand warm again. It also starts to move, a small tug towards the body,.

The cat creature before her stiffens, and turns around. It casts its eyes left and right, seemingly unable to see the ghost creatures but sensing somethign is wrong. It then fully focuses on Ameena.

With the abilities of the soulstone or however it is happening, she can sense the message behind the eyes and wrinkled nose. It seems revlived that she is here, and again there is a slight nod, the gesture of respect. But for some reason the body of Almulsis and its presence fills him with some form of revulsion.

"We have not the time, too soon," says the cat creature, half talking to Ameena and half talking to itself of the situation. It turns back to look as a flash of red spins a cat fully out of the window to the side. Within a moment another comes back through, carrying its fellow. It drops the obviously wounded cat and jumps into the fray itself.

Ameena frowns in puzzlement, wondering exactly what is going on here. The gaping hole in Almulsis's chest, obviously the cause of his death, does not look like anything she has seen humans to be capable of. Yet the feline creatures seem to want her, like the guide-creatures, to do something to help him. Even though he is dead. Perhaps whatever killed him is what is currently occupying the other feline creatures in the temple. Or perhaps they have already destroyed it.
She edges closer, still crouched, and holds out the soulstone amulet, letting it dengle by its dirty-silver chain toward the lifeless body, prepared to let go of it should the pull become much stronger.

The cat creature again turns, this time its expression and the thoughts radiating cannot hide the distain. Not for Ameena, obvious respect and for some reason kinship still are there, but it is still distainful of her choice to even pay attention to the dead mage, it feels...

The red glow dies suddenly in the stone even as the gemstone jumps from Ameena's hand and solidly lands on the mage's stomach. Suddenly the world is as real as she has always known it,
the ghosts disappear again and the Ekeel infront of her is as mysterious as it has always been. For a moment it turns, the staff in it's hand transfered to the hand nearer Ameena. It's eyes narrow, but nothing is happening to the body, and besides a noise comes from the battle itself to move its attention back.

Ameena can see a cat creature is being held above the throng of cloak. The nad holding it seems, unusually, human. The cat's limbs are kicking, and given the speed and strength displayed by these Ekeel then nothing human should be able to hold them so. Its head is thrown back, and the noise radiating from the creature is a sceam of such a high register that windows crack and vibrate. If ever a creature was in obvious torment and pain it is this cat.

The tall Ekeel with the staff shakes...it seems to be restrained, perhaps holding itself back still for some reason. However, Ameena has lost any external clues to why, and besides the cat creature cannot stay still as its fellow is tortured. It twirls the staff above its head and roars.

The other Ekeel hear this, turning in surprise, but then redouble their efforts to attack and mob whatever is attached to the human hand.

The lead Ekeel, he could be no less, has to duck as his fellows including the tortured soul are thrown easily by the figure in the centre. Ameena does not have to react as the torutured cat creature thumps into a pillar not far away. It's chest has deflated, shrived as if sucked dry and dessicated. Its expression is wide and shocked, but still - for this last blow has removed the last of its life, the only movement a faint twinkle of power from the twisted wand it still holds tightly.

The leader meanwhile comes back out of his crouch and raises its staff, roaring again, but a single blow, almost instant in speed, knocks him down viciously and across the floor. The staff lies rolling on the other side of the hall.

Ameena can finally see what could take on such extraordinary creatures, and sees it is, inded, merely a man. Except then the creature moves. Out of nowhere flames and smoke, a red and black mass of swirling energy held in roughly human form, seem to tear free of the plain human body, reaching towards the cat and then taking a flame-filled step. The body is jerked forward as if connected by string to the flames, and theplain limbs come forward to scoop the flaming ones back into the body.

This happens again and again in quick succession as the thing moves towards the prone leader. A few cats run towards their leader to surround him, for all the good it will do.

A strange disgusting face formed of fire and smoke breaks free of the dead face of the human, twisting around and laughing with a deep booming laugh at the prone Ekeel leader. It soon snaps back so that only a slight red smouldering remains in the empty eye sockets of the human face, and again the thing does its two stage walking towards the Ekeel.

Ameena crouches, silent and motionless, eyes fixed on this new threat. She dares not move just yet, lest doing so attract the attention of the fiery creature. Yet she does not wish to remain where she is, in case he should decide to advance on her anyway, when he is done destroying the feline. She presumes she has done whatever was required of her regarding Almulsis, so she considers herself free, once more, to depart alone. Perhaps the red stone merely wished to be reunited with its owner's body - surely it cannot restore the dead. Nothing can do that...
She remains focused on the flaming creature, wondering what it is yet having little desire to remain and find out - she does not know what business lies between all these creatures, but she does know that she wants as small a part in it as possible.

The ekeel leader tries to push its fellows away, but the three resolutely tand fast over their leader. With a snarl he has to let them carry on, and allowign them to cover him he starts off towards the other side for his droppd staff.

The human figure laughs again, feiry glow visible from inside its mouth. The flame-like limb, a leg, flicks out and doubles over one of the cats, the body jerking to follow and the leg visciously knocking the cat over. The body spins in a gleeful dance with the flick of feiry limbs and a laughing feiry mouth flying in and out of sight. A human fist on its own smashes the second cat brutally and it flies backwards, and the third cat is already cluthced in a fieiy hand around its throat. When the body comes to join its phantom limb, the feiry arm jerks in the opposite direction and this quick motion backwards and forwards causes a sharp snap to echo from the Ekeel's neck.

A feiry face comes out of the side of the dead face to look in regret at the dead cat lying prone on the floor where it is dropped, but the feiry limbs and human body under its command are already seeking the cat leader.

The Ekeel has barely got half the distance to the staff before its foe catches up with it and smashes him visciously to the ground.

The human body pauses over its prone foe still scrambling on the floor, and for a moment the Feiry faces lunches out as far as it has ever been seen previously, staring straight at Ameena and laughing nastily. A human limb points at her too, but then the feiry face coaleses back into the body and the creature turns back to deal with the struggling Ekeel.

Ameena hisses and, keeping low, starts to slip toward the door. She has had enough - she only came here at the behest of the ghostly creatures, and now that they seem to have gone...either that or she simply can no longer see them...she sees no reason to stay. Almulsis is dead. The feline creatures, though not seeming aggressive toward her, are being destroyed. And this strange, fiery being is the one doing the destroying. Perhaps it was what slew Almulsis. Perhaps this is "Ekeel". She will most likely never know.
Though her gaze is fixed on the threat, the fiery creature, she spares the wounded feline a glance. He...or she...will probably die within the next few moments, when the fiery creature makes the kill. So many creatures seem to enjoy destroying others...yet that is life - it ends in death. At least, that seems the way with the species she has seen - they do a lot of things that she does not understand, or need to do herself. She has no idea what will happen when the time comes for her own existence to end. Whenever that may be. Quite soon, perhaps, if she remains where she is.
The feline creature has not done anything against her, and has in fact made respectful gestures. Were it possible, she might consider repaying that by helping now. But what can she do? The creature attacking the feline knows she is there, and she has no idea how she might stop it. No, she would be better to run. At least that way she might survive, rather than all of them being destroyed. She is almost at the door. Almost at freedom.
Then her gaze flicks to the staff on the floor. The feline creature's staff. Perhaps it might help. The creature certainly seems intent on reaching it. And it isn't too far away.
But the fiery creature is so powerful. The flames alone might destroy her - she has little experience of being very close to fire, but she knows it will hurt if it touches her.
But somehow it feels wrong, now, to simply leave.
Darting suddenly across the floor, cape keeping close around her but not impeding her progress, Ameena leaps over one of the slain felines and lands beside the staff. She reaches out with one hand and shoves it across the floor, toward the feline struggling to reach it. Then she darts to crouch behind a nearby pillar, the door being a little too far for her to safely reach now.

Again the strage feiry face emerges from the side of the head, looking with glee at where Ameena has gone. It does nto seem to care about the staff, but regretfully is pulled back into the body as the expressionless human figure and feiry limbs make a move towards...

The Ekeel leader that is no longer prone. The second's disraction is all that it needs to kick out pwoerfulyl with sinewed limbs at the body's limbs. The cat itsemf rolls sideways the kicks up off the floor to avoid a fiery hand punching down, and the unbalanced body that follows it, that smashes hard onto the floor.

The cat quickly grabs at the staff rolled close to it, not having the time to look towards Ameena as it twirls and violently plunges the staff against the back of the prone human body. The body arches and the feiry face emerges to scream, a roar like the most violent wind that blows items of furnishing and even the body of Almulsis back. The cat creatures at either side of the building, come through the entrances upon hearing the noise, the two by the main entrance having to fight agains tthe hot fetid air blasted by the creature.

The tip of the staff glows hot. The feiryt face does not jerk back into the human body, instead it seems as if it is being pulled back, and is tryign to stay outwith the body with reluctance. It roars again, the intensity less, and the Ekeel leader pushed the staff harder into the body's back.

Suddenly a feiry shoulder and hand snap out, and a insubstantual yet powerful punch of flame and smoke sents the leader straight up into the air. The other cats, imncluding one that jumps in through a isde window close to Ameena, all start running towards the leader and the creature.

The thing is back on it's feet though, and the feiry face and shoulder and arms become visible as the insubtancial flame and smoke body emerges and twists itself...suddenly it spinns in the opposite direction with the human body piroetting along with it. The Ekeel leader falls downbarely avoid a flalling feriy limb, barely landing on all fours, and managing to roll the staff away from himself again.

Meanwhile the approaching cat creatures and smashed backwards by a whistling limb of fire or flesh. The whirling terror finally stops. All the cat creatures have been batted off to the corners, except the leader, and will be slow to stand up.

The leader himself draws up to impressive height, facing off agains tthe human body that seems to be weakened, all signs of its glowing feiry aspect hidden. The leader looks quickly to the staff, judging the far distance.

Suddenly a feiry limb shoots out and the Ekeel leader doubles over in pain from the blow to the stomach. The human body does not follow the arm, and the arm snaps back into hiding quickly. The human body jerks slowly, with barely seen feiry limbs puling it forward, but not towards the cat leader. Instead it makes for a corpse of one of the other Ekeel newly killed. The body bends down, picks it up, and holds it two handedly. Only then do the feiry limbs and feiry face reveal themselves, the arms also lutchign the cat, the face opening wide as is splitting in two, and the feiry smokey mass of it wrapping itself aroudn the head of the body.

Ameena can feel it, even for where she is - whatever blakc energy was being released in death, whatevr void energy was present from such a powerful creature linked to farspace, it is already being sucked from the world into this flaming apparition.

From her position crouched hidden behind the pillar, Ameena hears the roaring, senses the heat, knows more violence is underway. It seems her action may not have done a great deal to stop the fiery creature, but perhaps it gave the feline a little extra time in which to live. She can sense thta the creature is using some kind of dark magic, but as it isn't a magic she is familiar with, she doesn't really understand what is happening. She wonders whether she should try peering out from behind her cover, but decides against it, for the same reason that she hasn't already bolted for the door - the fiery creature, whatever it is, will probably use its power to stop her.
Then again, there is the nearby window, through which one of the felines leapt on its way to attack the fire-creature. She wonders what will happen when they (the felines) have all been destroyed. Will the creature then come for her? Probably. Why, then, doesn't she run? She isn't sure, but she is resolved, for now, at least, not to move.

Ettesus, if that was his real name-- nobody knew really-- walked briskly along the road, an arrogant grin on his lips, a few daggers and other weapons displayed and at hand on the outside of a battered but sturdy costume of leather armor, a few other trinkets around his neck, or upon his wrists. It was clear he was a rogue, a wanderer, and at the moment, his wanderings were taking him in the direction of a 100 Denarii bounty. Oh, he'd heard the stories, but he'd just stab the old fool in the back and that'd be that-- he stopped, pausing next to a tree. From a pocket, he pulled out a small gold disc, a few gems on it glowing of their own accord, flashing like lights. A handy little device this was, for it allowed him to focus in on the farspace essence of anyone with a significant presence in that other realm, and through following the link of consciousness between soul and body, find the person.

He had been tracking Almusis with it, and he closed his eyes, concentrating on the device, trying to find him. His mind searched through the other realm, a blurry dream, for he was not adept in astrogation, and it was only through this device he was able to see anything at all. Suddenly, the blurry dream became a black nightmare. He was trapped, a wall of darkness forming behind him like some kind of an oncoming tsunami.

Through the half-visible dream, he tried to run, but he felt himself being caught up in a thick soup of black, his otherworldly presence being pulled into a vortex from somewhere else. With sheer will, he forced his hands open, to drop the device in his hand, and instantly, he was back in his body, back in nearspace. His eyes opened with a start, a loud gasp came off his lips.

Something horrible was happening. Worse yet-- he'd been beaten to his prize. Almusis was dead.

Satisfied, the human shell drops the dessicated hust of the cat creature it has fed on and lets it fall, as the flames retreat again. A human if croaky moan escapes its lips as it rolls its head back, then suddenly the roaring bellow of the wind as the feiry head shoots up to add its gleeful shout.

There is the feeling of a missed opportunity, but it is on both sides. For although the Ekeel have lost an opportunity to strike while this thing is weakened, the creature has not dealt with the threat fully, nor finished off its main opponent.

The Ekeel leader has managed to scramble up. It hesitated to leave its fellow from that fate, even if surely dead, but it had a purpose and retrieved the staff again.

The human shell now has to turn to face the Ekeel leader, twirling the staff, and it also has to face the remnants of the cats that are starting to gather around again to back up their leader. Even with the ones from outside, they number only around five still standing and able to help.

There is a standoff as each side waits to act. The staff keeps twirling and the occasional red glow is seen from the body's open mouth. Black smoke curls out of the mouth and ears...except it isnt' as thick as before. The human face looks puzzled, the first ever expression on the face since its death. It moves forward, and the body moves first, the red flames left behind for a moment like an echo. Again the human face must wear the expresson of confusion. Finalyl the feiry face emerges, slow, and looks backwards at the cat creature it fed on.

On the floor in its hand is gripped a twisted rod. By that rod, inexplicably, a small shoot of green is starting to grown through the floor.

As there is not currently any noise of actual fighting, Ameena risks a peek around the edge of the pillar. She regards the felines and the fire-creature, then frowns in puzzlement at what is holding the attention of the fiery thing. She decides that, unless she is attacked by something here, she will stay long enough to see what happens. Then she will leave.

OOC - Making an assumption here, since I think it's pretty obvious, but correct me OOC if I've got it wrong...

BIC - Ameena's head snaps round in the direction of Almulsis's prone form. What...?
She glances momentarily toward the felines and the fiery creature, but they seem fully occupied by each other. She slips out from behind the pillar and flits quickly over to crouch beside Almulsis, about an arm's length away, peering at him to verify that he is, in fact, alive.

OOC: Lol, of course it's him :D

The ugly wound in his chest still looks ugly, but it is now a wound, not a hole. Infact looking closer it is visible that the wound isn't that deep anymore, that infact the blackness comes from some strange coalescence of energy hovering aroudn the wound. It is void energy, being channeled by the stone from the looks ofthe small tendril twisting aroudn the discarded genstone. It is probably the only energy of its type left in the room not consumed by the odd creature.

Almulsis tries to lift his head but it falls quickly.

"Get me...out..." he says quietly in a panic. He raises his head again, and seems to be able to focus on the battle, though he obviously doens't comprehend it.

He shakes his head. "Wha...what's happening?"

Ameena edges a little closer to Almulsis, crouching a little lower but keeping an eye on the creatures facing off on the othe side of the room.
"They are fighting." she says, speaking as softly as she can, lest they hear her. "The felines and the fire-creature. I do not know what they are."
Of course, she herself has questions aplenty which she would like to ask Almulsis, but her patience exists in a gerater quantity than the questions, so she will wait, and ask when they are in a safer location.
"They may see us." she continues. "If we leave this place, there may be humans outside. Humans always seem aggressive - if they did not run from this, they may attack. And if you cannot move yourself, that is irrelevant anyway, for now."
She glances at the wound in his chest.
"I do not understand how such healing as this is possible, but if you have recovered this much so soon, will you not be fully strong again in a few more moments?"

Almulsis smiles underneath his scarf even as his body coughts.

"Magic..took...centruies.... will be able to..." she shrugs and coughs, "stand...per'ps...soon..." More coughing.

He then suddenly seems to register some words, the memories of what happened come back to him. Not a contest with a preacher. 'Cat creatures'

"Ekeel" says Almulsis, trying to jerk upright but hitting the weakness of his body and unable to do more than lift his head and find it fall to the ground again. "Run," he says in a quiet yet insisted hiss, "before they get you too..."

The speech seems to wear him out.

Ameena frowns in confusion.
"What is "Ekeel"?" she asks. "You spoke of it before, but I do not understand the meaning."
She gestures toward the battling creatures.
"Is that Ekeel?" she asks. "The fiery being?"

"Fiery being?", asks Amlulsis, realising he had heard Ameena say it before in the haze. He had been concentrating on the Ekeel at the time.

"Ekeek, cats...creatures...legened..." Almulsis slowly breathes in and out, takign the time to build up his energies. "A race...of myth....always...harbingers of...great death"

Almulsis tries to lever himself up, flappign a few times as his arm barely works to see what 'fiery creature' could possibly combat tsuch a creature as the Ekeel. He realises it when he sees battle suddenly start.

The stalemate is broken, and suddnely the fiery limb with its smokey trail escapes from the human body and forcing the limb to jerk forward in response too. Its fiery fist smashes hard into the nearest cat creature and throwing it backwards across the room.
Meanwhile the flaming face and maw escape the human face and scream at the Ekeel leader, the sound and force of a gail blowing the cat backwards, though at least it can hold onto its staff this time.

Almulsis's eyes widen, looking at the sight as if he cannot comprehend it. And then he laughs hard, so hard his body starts rockign and starts coughing heavily.

Ameena regards the battling creatures. So "Ekeel" is the name of the race of feline creatures? Yet of all the creatures she has seen tonight, she would consider them to be the least threatening, as far as she is concerned. Odd...
She stares at the battle for a few moments more, then glances at Almulsis, then at the door. She could just flee now, alone, as she could have done all along. Yet she decides to stay, and resolves to determine her reasoning for such a decision later, when she has the time.
"What is your intention?" she asks. "If you cannot move yourself, yet cannot stay here to be destroyed...again...what are you going to do?"

Almulsis is still laughing, but managed to control himself long enough. "Apparently help the 'harbingers of death' " he says, laughing again until he has to choke it off.

"Don't you see..." he says, barely able to point to the battle, where the other two cat creatures try to wresting ontop of the fiery being long enough that when they are swatted off a few of their fellows are able to join the fray.

Then Almulsis remembers something, "You don't know the Gruuurg'al...?" and he almost chokes on the throaty pronounciation.
"A death feeder...armies pass and it is not enough to summon it, for its hunger is too large... luck..for us...in past... but here now..." Almulsis cannot seem to resolve why it would be here, but then chuckles to himself " 'harbingers of death'...how did the Ekeel always know when we would need help? ' "

He looks up at Ameena, and tries to pull his back up off the floor. "I intend," he says, coughing again and forcing himself up again, "to help the Ekeel!"

Ameena shrugs, not really understanding all this talk of unfamiliar creatures and their interactions with each others' races. Out of habit, she edges back a little from Almulsis as he tries to sit up, moving just out of arm's reach.
"I did help." she says, pointing toward the lead Ekeel. "He tried to reach his staff, so I returned it to him. But the fire-creature is strong - it is destroying them. If it destroyed you too, so easily, then there is no reason to believe you can survive this time. Surely you must leave or be destroyed."

Almulsis truns away chagrinned at being reminded of the staff and his current condition. Then the mention of the staff causes him to look back, painfully keeping himself up on his elbows.

Even the pain seems to remind him of soemthing, or give him an idea. He looks off at the combat again, his eyes gleeming.

"They...are fighting back..." he says, Not of the acrobatics, but the fact that somehow the creature seems drunk now, or poisoned is more the sense that Almulsis gets. The creature is still no less dangerous, its concentrated hits and wild hits scoring just as much damage and crushing Ekeel painfully to the ground or throwing them across the room. One does sso now, not getting back up as it lands head first against a wall with a sickeningly wet sound.

He looks at Ameena. "What did..did they do with the staff to the Gruurg'al?" Almulsis asks quickly, mind racing.
