A what box...?

$eoub: magic box freezes life (so you can stop the monster`s movement for a while if you use it in front of him). There should be a "freeze life" option when you use it in right hand (at least that was in original DM).

Hey everyone, I have been trying a lot at DP, but I am not able to prove faith, and I am unable to go past the door in the corridor with 6 wall eyes and a sar shield.

Also the two scrolls found in the round alcove past the wraith are still not understandable, even knowing what items they refer to.

I have the star-talisman, the staff bearing a druid's mark, the silver *orb*, the platinum horn, the sar shield... I have been past the werewolf

EDIT: Thanks for any hints, 'cause I'm really really stuck.

No, it's different in Dark Portal. Though, its function in the original game is a clue how you might apply it here...
Joramund wrote:I am not able to prove faith
Correct. ;)
I think this thread has some past hints on this topic, too...
Joramund wrote:I am unable to go past the door in the corridor with 6 wall eyes and a sar shield
You should have seen something mysterious earlier on that did not quite make sense, and may make more sense in the context of these eyes-- another hint: having your sound on is a big help.

Tell me how you obtained that item, I'll tell you how to prove faith :D
Good deal, isn't it ?

EDIT : Thank you for your clues ! :D
I hope mines were useful too...

EDIT 2 : finished it !
Congratulations for building it, this was a really awesome dungeon, with various place ! :D
A true brainstorming too ..

Hello dear helpers

To begin with: great dungeon Sophia, congrats!

But I seem to be stuck now: Where do I find a turquoise (topaz) key?
And how may I progress further after the door with the 6 eyes? I read the respective scroll and as I 'with the sword place the key', I hear kind of a gong but nothing happens otherwise. Do I miss something here? (Or do I have to open the turquoise lock first?)
Furthermore, I couldn't find the Powertowers until now. According to this topic, I should have found them miles ago (This is just for curiosity)

1 - You've found a lock, but no key. Consider.
2 - You're missing at least one object to get past this bit atm.
3 - The Power Towers are hidden back near the beginning of the dungeon. You don't need them to finish the dungeon, however - they just help with all the stuff you'll probably end up lugging around ;).

Powertowers are close to the winged serpent if that helps : )

I was considering giving a clue like that, but wasn't sure exactly how helpful I should be ;).

Thanks for the hints

1. Could not yet get past the lock, still trying ... (tried to pick the lock somehow), please wait with further hints
2. I thought as much because of problem 1
3. Found the PTs in the meanwhile (this was about the only area where I didn't search for them)

1. Right idea - if you are saying 'somehow' then chances are you haven't foudn the item you need...where woudl a thief end up?
2.

beowuuf: If you mean using some lockpicks (which are referenced somewhere previous in this topic), then I think I have a problem :(.

Having searched in all possible (and impossible) places to find such a tool (and having a headache bumping into all those walls :)) I'm still stuck and desperate. I even tried to fetch some acid in a vial to melt that lock, but no luck.
To give you an idea of my progress yet:
I already found the bladed sun, the silver orb, the staff bearing the druid's mark and the platinum horn, every creature except the dragon and the banshee is dead.

EDIT: ok, after one more thorough exploration I found what I was looking for :D. Thanks anyway.

Needing help with this:
1. Zo-lock ( thinking i'm lacking of an item to bind the zo spell...)
2. The runes at the evileye place (casting spells or dropping items representing the elements?)
3. Door in the Gor-altar room doesn't open.

You need to solve these in the order 3, 1, 2.

For 3 - what do you mean, "doesn't open". How have you tried to open it?

Have you tried asking it nicely to open?

3. Is sneaky after Dark portal has been so different from DM....
2. Worry about it at the end...
1. Possibly, then you need to interact wit hthat item correctly before using it on the zo lock

This door definetely must be female, cause i have no clue, what (s)he
wants...
Tried
- the hard way (invoking, rapier, thowing, hitting)
- the nice guy approach (flute and horn concerts)
- the bribing way (with nice coins and necklaces)

So, maybe i missed an item?

Lol, in DM, and you faced a door like this and couldn't find a switch, what would you do? : )

Posted: Sun Sep 24, 2006 5:19 pm
by LordLibrasulus
1. Trying to break it
2. Searching a button/switch/pressure plate
3. Zo Spell

Regarding the Zo spell - I figure you have tried just casting a Zo spell? From the message, it would imply that you need some way to perhaps "catch" or trap the Zo magic in some way so you can use it...

Forf the door, 1 definitely! Except try the usual DM methods

I made it!

Very nice dungeon, Sophia!!!

@Ameena: That wasn't the problem. It was really clear for me, that the Zo spell should be contained in an item. Getting the item was the prob.

LOL, all of these riddles, and i had problems with a simple wooden door... :D
But there was no clue around, that just the ....... will do the job.

A little bit disappointing was the place with the engraved 6 runes. So much space just for a hint. Expected more in this place.

No, as the scroll says you needed to slay the evil eye to get the proper bladed sun to ocmpletle the game...it just so happens there is also a clue here too for later to annoy the unobservant - a bit like the drawing in the riddle room (in the original game it was a sphynx detracting the eye from that clue)

And i like the door, it's evil...after going 'neh neh na neh neh' and thumbing the nose at DM by having things circumvent your expectations, having a DM style item right at the end is the perfect yet annoyingly simple puzzle

I never properly solved getting the wand. I know I needed an item to use with the thingy, but never found what and got the wand another way. But Soph won't tell me what I was supposed so do, even though I finished the dungeon, waah :(.

Carefully reading this threat can help you...

Lol yes. I know I needed some kind of...err...thing to put in the thing (not saying more since I don't wanna give it away for peeps who've not got there yet), but the only thing I found that was vaguely the right shape and made of the right stuff didn't work. I probably needed to manipulate some scenery at a bit I'd passed near the beginning of the dungeon or something, but never figured what and managed to get past it anyway lol.
I'm hoping the book in the alcove at the beginning is impossible to get. At least that's what I presume. Otherwise it'd completely bug me as to what's written in it :P.

Get it for longer than about three seconds before you get nuked, you mean? ;) All I could think to try was try-the-grapple-before-I-get-blown-up but that didn't work ;).

Hehe, you can get the book... you just can't keep it. ;)

Yeah, I know ;).
But grr can't you tell me what was meant to be the solution to the wand puzzle? Pweease? You know I probably won't play DP again now I've finished it, and I certainly wouldn't tell anyone else the answer...mind you, several people seem to have actually figured it out. It was probably quite obvious but .
