Love the light idea.. just want to know now if it's got recyclable bits, and how long it's life expectancy is. If they can make it last several years and allow most of it's components not become waste.. it'd be great!

I thought of this guy too.. I have two of them after all for emergency.. I test them every few months to make sure they still work. However, if you own one.. you know the light doesn't last 30 mins.. not in your biggest dreams.. You need to turn it constantly to get it's brightest setting, and it's reduced setting lasts baout 5 mins. This gravity element makes it more convenient, and likely WHY it lasts as long as it does.. I'd like to see it last longer.. if they can be having it go at least an hour before having to pull the chain to reset it'd be better.. and again.. this guy doesn't break down either.. it'd end up on a garbage heap in about 5 years if used every day. Which is what I'm hoping these guys make sure doesn't happen with theirs.

I like the concept of the gravity light, and the way their testing by giving a prototype version to villagers in underdeveloped countries -- the people who need them the most -- rather then just testing them on middle class developed country residents who would likely only use them on rare occasions, like during a blackout or while camping, for example.

I agree with cow's points as well, high quality manufacturing and building them to last is critical, as is refining the design to get an hour of life out of a single charge would also be helpful.

Man, that was a good series. I'm still upset with Fox for canning it like they did. It had the potential to be one of their best weekly shows and that network just went and sabotaged it. I still, to this day can't understand why. The creator of Firefly, Joss Whedon, also produced one of the most popular tv series of the 90's, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a personal favorite of mine, and Firefly had all the signs of being just as big a hit for the 2000's.

Hah, nice! I didn't bother with testing the Facebook login, just played normally. Obviously incomplete (no inventory or fighting) but some spell combinations work and includes voices speaking the runes -- though differently named. Apparently they're from Skyrim. Interesting to see if it's developed further. How did you find this?

EDIT: I tried the FB login and it included Zyx and Linflas!

That was a great find. I tied the DM demo and am impressed with what the developer has so far. I also took a look at the bubble bobble demo and that brought back memories of playing that game in the arcades way back. Another one I took a look at was the shadow of the beast demo, looks good and actually makes me want to find a copy of that game to try it out. It's one of those old classics that I've known about for a long time, but have never played.

Huh, just for anyone else out of the loop like me, there's an American remake of 'House of Cards' with Kevin Spacey on Netflix, only on Netflix, all 13 episodes released at once, and the first episode for free. And I'm sure last time I looked in to Netflix it was blocked in the UK, but appreantly not anymore! Very cool.
