Well, I am the DM - I do know :D *whistles*

Tchnically speaking, you guys should know the answer to that one too. Whether you believe that answer is another matter.

Hmmm, really need to wait for Ameena to post her actions before acting on this one. Nice work though Money. He's been cleverly suspicious and touchy feely in this scenario... Only to have this blundering half-orc roll along to upset his ideas.

Hmm, Ameena might be straight from work to game night tonight... might require a delayed update until tomorrow.

On the other hand, maybe she doesn't have work today at all, today being Monday, and can therefore post right after she gets on the computer having finished lunch and stuff :twited:.
Oh btw, yaaaay wb at long last, LB :D.

Welcome back LB!

Damn it, I was hoping you guys would walk over the cold, dead body of Farel in order to throw Westian onto the altar first.

Westian is going to haunt you all. :D

I'd have assumed that Westian was the most useful character on 1HP as well...

Who knows what could happen. I was surprised LB chose to go for Farel not Westian...maybe he assumed Haynuus would have taken Westian first 0.o You know, instead of the gnome he slayed 0.o You know, on the say so of an unexpectedly appearing murafu 0.o

PS, it's a beautiful sight to see four players posting again...you know, marred by the death of the fifth. Hey ho! :p

Oh, and since this round might just see a temporary (or permenant?) reprieve, then now might be as good a time as any to remind you guys of the plot again. It does get so confusing and lost.

I must just reveal a few little things to do with certain aspects, sicne there are so many posts now I'm sure you've lost track of alot of stuff!

I went for Farel first because he's the "tankier" of the two. What if I'd started rezzing Westian just to have that "grak grak" rip him to bits again :P
Tactically, I thought it best to aim at the most durable person, not the most useful (sorry OB). But things went well, so it didn't matter who I'd aimed at. Also, Aurek has seen Westian get smacked around a bit, this is the first time that Farel's even REALLY been injured (he's only taken 1 or 2 hits so far)... so even he'd agree with me here :P

I don't know which is worse - having Soorec dead and the out-of-control grak-graks trying to rip everyone to shreds, or having him alive and all the grak-graks sneaking up on us from all sides because they're fully back under his control. Someone better come up with some way to finish this quickly or we're all buggered, lol. That is, assuming there is a way, lol.

Whatever. Westian is going to haunt the hell out of you. :P

Very true. I would say listen to what he has to say, maybe there is some non-violent option. Or else run like hell - if Ardur is still alive then the grak-graks probably are not swarming on that exit.

Heh, given only I know the stats of Farel, and both of them wear the same armour, interesting to assume Farel is tankier... also, tanks with no hit points are down in one round, clerics with no hit points are down for one round until they can heal themsleves.

Anyway, I'm sure Westian and OB are having way to much fun playing with a harp or twiddling their thumbs, so no rush you guys... infact, Haynuus hasn't acted yet, so it's all good.... pity he's not around ot advise the group though...

Still waiting for LB's moves, but decided to put up the resolution of the rest of you anyway. I might stop doing the maps, as we drift out of imminent combat...

Hmm, and I still need to figure out how much and how deeply to summarise and recap what all your characters know.... eeshk!

Sorry for the delay in my post. I did look in after you'd posted the update, but I just hadn't had the time to update it (I use Opera as my browser, and I've got it set to auto-refresh every 2-3 minutes. So, even when it says I'm online, I can still be AFK.)

Glad to see Westian up and about again! Now we just need to get Farel back.

Right, despite doing other stuff, gunna try and power through both the plot summary and set up something else.

Since we have a forum to ourselves, it might be an idea to split up the character sheet thread so each one of you has a thread to yourself that you can use for your character sheets, notes to yourself, and questions about your character.

I'll put in little place holders just now. If people could put a copy of their character sheet right afetr, that would be cool. Also, if you could perhaps add a second post where you comment on what you think your character knows abotu the plot. And also therefore what you as a player remember. It'll let me know what's stuck and what's not. The next section of this game is going to be much more transparent, and alot of mysteries may be revealed - or at least set back up in a very straightforward manner. You guys have gotten the best of one of the five major bosses (and the other four are very interlinked, so will come in pretty much rapid succession when you get to the end)

The plot points being:

Where is the grey lord?
What is Theron doing? Has he let Gholst and the soldiers into the mountain? If so, why?
What's the secret of the ghost girl? Who is she, and what does she want?
Who is Gholst? What's he doing? Why?
Who are the soldiers?
What do you think of Seeroc/Soorec? What's his purpose?
Do you know who Fex is?

And a metagamy one - How do you think you win this instance of the game? :)

I'd been keeping track of my character info in a Word document...though I've not been updating it perhaps as well as I should - you remember I started on a character-knowledge thing aaagaes ago, which took Ameena's knowledge from the start of the game onwards? Well, I got to page five of the IC thread with that and then erm...haven't been back to it since, lol.
Something I'd like to have access to, or rather, something which has been bugging me and which I should technically have been keeping track of, but haven't, is what the other characters are currently wearing (indeed, exactly what they look like, even - I think some of the basic character descriptions, such as Falkor, are a bit vague unless they've been updated since the last time I checked, erm, ages ago ;)). If we all have our own little thread with character info then it'll give me a nice reference point where I can look up all this stuff.
Keeping track of character knowledge is another thing, at least from a personal pint of view. I mean, assuming this is actually Ameena who's suddenly popped up randomly in the middle of combat after buggering off with Helm a while ago, I like to keep track of her current viewpoint on various characters, what she's seen of them, how they've been acting toward her etc. I could keep notes on that kind of thing, jot down significant (to Ameena) things that have been said, that kind of thing - a little comment such as "Shut up" or "Well done" can have lasting impressions on a social creature such as a murafu, even if the person making the comment has no clue of this at the time.

Seriously, vote now - is 'Ameena' Ameena, or is 'Ameena' some last evil trick of you nasty DM?

Choose now in a metagame way, even if your character wouldn't still have suspicions or no suspicions!

If you mean sense motive the skill, then yup, he can try to figure out if 'Ameena' is withholding things or lying. If you mean detect evil, then even better, you can figure out whether the murafu looking thing is evil or not - if she's not evil, then that's probably ok to trust her even if she's not really Ameena! :D

See, this is what happens when a part pf the team has to drop out for a spell - the group usually has something not covered :D

As a character Westian has no reason to think it is not Ameena - he has not seen anything that would indicate the contrary.

As a player...well, to metagame a bit, Ameena is posting, and the writing style is similar to how Ameena writes (i.e. it is not simply beowuff sending a PM to Ameena with the post on it, and Ameena pasting it in). So if it is not the real Ameena it is a character being controlled by Ameena (this is getting confusing...both player and character are called Ameena!). So, I would say that it is Ameena, but she has been changed a bit.
