OK, I have a good and true story to share. I have been married to my wonderful wife for over 21 years. In like our second year of marriage, she had gone to work and I cleaned house and played video games. So she comes home, whilst I am still engrossed in a good game. First thing she says is "Do you want to have relations?" I actually weighed the 2 possibilties in my mind for like 2 seconds. Relations or gaming. Of course I chose the former. But it just cemented in my head how much of a rpg
geek I am.

Pretty sad.

Hi Big Stan. You won't be banned for that post, but we'd prefer it if you'd not continually reply to yourself.

The forums work best as a conversation. So it's better to wait for someone to reply before posting again. When a member takes over a thread by posting lots of consecutive posts, it's unfair on the rest of the forum and can discourage others from joining in.

We'll be updating the rules soon to clarify this and a few other issues.

As for the "relations or gaming" decision, I can relate to that brief decision making process! The first choice is always better

I would suggest going into the "Films, TV, Books, and the Arts" subsection under "News and Chat" and starting a new thread there .

Yes, I'd agree with Ameena, you can start a new thread in the "Films, TV, Books, and the Arts" forum.

Generally it's better to start new threads to discuss a new subject, rather than trying to talk about lots of different things in one thread. This chit-chat thread is obviously an exception (it's just for talking about general things that don't fit anywhere else). For specific subjects (a film, a book, a bug report for a custom dungeon, etc.), it's much easier for other forum members to find those discussions when they are clearly labelled in their own thread.

You can always view the list of all our forums by viewing the forum homepage. There are many more than you might realise!

I tnoiced that it was apparently 20 years today I joined this forum! O.O I'm guessing the same sort of timescale is true for a couple of others around, even if you haven't noticed!

Anyway, cool to see the place still going, new dungeons still being released, etc. Just wanted to say 'hey' in honour of the milestone!

Congrats Beo! Quite the accomplishment! A mere 17 years for me, although I remember being on the old DM Encyclopaedia forums for a while first.

Hey, looks like we joined in the same year, Antman, though I was here a few months before you. And I originally joined the RTC forum before we were all brought together when all the invididual forums were combined into this one. I still do miss the cool layout we had that Linflas made, with the dark colour scheme, avatars on the left (still feels super weird having them on the right, seems wrong compared to every other forum ever), and the cool header and stuff. Maybe one day he'll come back and tweak it so it works with this version of the forum or something .

Yeah, it's like a whole bunch of people have suddenly shown up, be they old or new - it's cool . Makes a change from people who don't pay any attention to the forum headers and just assume we're here to help them run their DnD games, anyway...not that I have a problem with that, but, you know, if they haven't even read what this forum is about, why are they asking for help?

Yes I remember this very well and liked it very much, I hadn't realized it was Linflas' work. Was it also Linflas who made custom avatars for a lot of people? I'd like to see if I can request one if he comes back

FYI, there were two different dark colour schemes used here over the years, I made one and Linflas made the other. The custom avatars I think are the ones Cowsmanaut drew.
