The 'Stately Wayne...' just reminded me of the Batman TV show so much. Weird, it would be the second reference to it I'd seen today...I've already posted a picture of Caesar Romero's barely disguises moustache!

Yes. And he "accused" someone. Clearly we were referencing the character, thereby drawing attention to the demise of the traditional boardgame format and how it has been overtaken by modern technology.

Not sure what you are going on about, you'll have to give me a 'Clue'
And by clue I mean the Tim Curry film.
Also, nice to see not one but two of my posts sneak in before yours OB

Plus really I should change mine as the double poster, to save on a second double post based on you changing yours after somjeone posts in reply.
Alos, the androgny/angrogynous thing was a fun tag, but neither meakes sense, so I might yet change it....
But double "me!"s, each ending with a closed quotation marks? It would have been crazy!
I know you should have changed, but I thought if I was quick enough it would be easier to make sense editing mine.
Edit: and yes, more double posts here than in the actual story thread!

Poeple would have thought they had double vision brought on by too many 3D movies
It all worked out and gave us this Clue related tangent, so all's well that ends well! Just lime my from-> fromage save

Although I recently had a blackout that lasted for hours and could have used a traditional board game as that doesn't require electricity, which, unfortunately, modern technology does. Man was I relieved when the power came back on and could once again use my modern technology. The one saving grace was that my wired into the wall phones were still working so at least I was able to talk to a friend during the power outage.

Landed

By the way, I think it's tradition that we try and include all 24 Champions and there are still a few that need an introduction... perhaps that's our stretch goal?

Well done! I introduced an new one, maybe we need a list of those missing thus far?

That would be a good idea. I think Alex Ander , and Boris are still missing, but I'm not sure who else.
EDIT: OK, I just made up a list of characters who have been included in the story so far:
- Azizi
- Boris
- Chani
- Daroou
- Elija
- Gando
- Gothmog
- Halk
- Hawk
- Hissssa
- Iaido
- Layla
- Leif
- Linflas
- Mophus
- Nabi
- Sonya
- Stamm
- Syra
- Tiggy
- Wu-Tsi
- Wuuf
- Zed
So we're still missing 3 champions:
UPDATE: now only missing 2 champions, I just added HAlk to the story
Update2: Boris is now in the story, only Alex is missing

Once more serendipity aids us! Gambit, we double posted I think, but luckily I had already used a comma, so it simply sounds poetic as the sentence was already being. I like it!

If we're looking to have every DM character make an appearance in the story, the only one still missing is Alex, all others have been used at least once.

I should probably read the whole story at some point - so far I've just been reading what's on the current page and adding a word that happens to fit into the sentence at that point

. The Balrog thing was pretty much asked for, really, since the "downwards" thing seemed to be calling out for a reference to "digging too deep" - a combination of the fact that I'm a watcher of the Yogscast (on YouTube) and am reading Fellowship of the Ring and have just reached Balin's tomb made that word an easy one to come up with, even if I did sort of make it up

.
I also put in a vorpal hamster somewhere back near the beginning...well, someone else supplied the "vorpal" bit...

I think I was the one that supplied the vorpal part. At the time I was thinking of a vorpal blade, but the vorpal hamster was funny.
reading Fellowship of the Ring and have just reached Balin's tomb
I've read the full LOTR trilogy and loved all 3 of them, and have seen the movies and they definitely did credit to Tolkien's story. I've also read The Hobbit as well, and loved it too. I'm sure the movie will be very well done rendition of the story as well, and definitely plan on seeing it.

The vorpal hamster is a call-back to a previous one-word-at-a-time story. One from ages ago. I seem to recall that someone then drew a picture of a vorpal hamster. I think it had red glowing eyes.
