Worryingly, being falling down drunk does not seem to affect your ability to go trick or treating! :D

Those spicy bean burritos in the stash can be converted into insanely spicy bean burritos. I'll do that when I get some adventures tomorrow.

Nine insanely spicy bean burritos added to stash. Go crazy. I took the menudo and dry noodles so I can convert them later. I also dumped the rest of my pixels in there, since I borrowed a bunch to make the 8-bit finery. (Trick-or-treating in that getup was worthless, but the tattoo is cool.)

Ah, I stole some pixels as I've never gone back there, so I might steal some more later!

Well, ujsing the awesome powers of internet I got the first part of the macguffin quest done to open the hidden city, but i need a decent spooky weapon and to find or work out what round objects i need :D

A few more cocktails added to the stash, though I stole one of the bartenders n a box and I think I shall be having some of that spicy bean stuff tomorrow (today maxed out on hams, etc from the black forest - darn they are good!)

No doubt. I don't remember how many adventures I spent tot-ing, but it was well over 150, probably more than 200. I'm wondering about some of these mechanics and how they might fit into an MP DM clone. Since I'm still mulling that over — and wanting to do some programming in the very near future — I'll consider it. I really, really like games that have crafting, and I've already decided that's something I want in my clone. The only question is what theme I want to go with: future, fantasy, or Lego. But I digress.

I did that yesterday before I had a chance to bounty hunt. It would be nice if you could sacrifice a few adventures to remove a point or two of drunkenness, for just such malignancies. Maybe we should suggest it?

I think it's probably a game balance - alcohol gives you additional adventures and stats beyond your food allowance, but you run the risk of causing yourself drunkenness when you experiement - like I did trying out blood beer assuming it would be 2 drunken-ness!

Funny your food isn't explicitly stated though...

Well, there's no drawback to being full. I still think it would be fine to have an anti-drunk item that chewed up some adventures, specifically for the purpose of experimenting.

Wooohoooo :D. Took me a month or so, and many many adventures (120 of which were today), but I finally, finally got that last sodding bone, so now I have a new familiar, wheeeeee...not that he has a name yet but I'm working on it. Now I gotta get him his toy from the Arena :D.

Lol, congratulations too!

Hmm, sweet sweet spookymanor for the macguffin quest. Do i need to find more of it's secrets, or am i just doign thigns stupidly.

The one seems to be spanking me - I haven't found anythign dispite lookign that explains which symbols are which, and I cannot tell if I need to get an explaination, keep experimenting, or am missing somehting

Ah well, will persevere! Can only make the top one sigil light with win sadly, can't tell the sequence...and really not planning on doing that whole mystery passage in the book!

Quest-wise, I had another go at one of those Protector Spirits today, but they're tough bastards...I think I need a bit more Spooky protection...my new pet does quite nice damage against them (elemental dam is needed on them and skelly dude does some quite nice Spooky dam, unlike myself :P), but the bastard keeps hitting me for, like 20 dam or so per hit. Meh. Maybe I should ding another level (I'm 12 atm but the MacGuffin quest is 11.../shrug).
Oh well, in the meantime I'm doing a bit more messing around...some bounty hunting and stuff.

Ha, they are indeed - there is a secret to them that I sadly spoilt myself with, goodness only knows how you'd figure it out otherwise!

And yes, that 20 per hit is evil - I'[m findign alot of stuff doing that now, though my highish moxie is at leats making it less frequent.

Right on the edge of some limits apparnetly, if i wear a badass belt I can survive fights better than without - so havign to swap out the lord spookyville's glasses alot!

And lol, I'm level 13 now, so yeah, it's pretty tough still. I should invest more time in protection, I just went with black armopur then slowly stripped it for other stuff :D

And just got the bounty i pre-emptively went for

And think I can solve the wine cellar now, I was unlucky in what i tried - must be a better way, Anyway, tomorrow need more adventures for more win to get the 'final' part of that puzzle, i hope

There's a specific way to beat the spirits easily? Cool...can I get a clue? It's not as bad as that Abridged Dictionary I told you about, is it? ;)
Equipment-wise, I'm just wearing a general muddle of stuff for the stats they give...I only equip a full set of something just so I can get the tattoo of it as soon as I have the full set.

Judging by the reaction, the spirits are perhaps unspeakably good...

I think I equiped the black armour for the black forest to see if it had an effec, and foudn the muscle and damage reduction good enough - since stripped it mostly away I htink, not sure how much is left

Still using the black sword, though really need a beter weapon - not foudn a missile weapon worth a damn compared to a good melee weapon strike though

oh, after you finish with the spirits, the obsidian dagger is good - just check the extra damage you get! Good for otherwise immune spirits/etc

20 per hit? I wish. All the stuff I fight these days does over 50. Of course, my armor and moxie aren't fabulous, and to balance I do have spells that wipe out pretty much anything, including bosses, in one or two hits. I just bought another skill that adds +10 spell damage and sets the element to whatever I want. Cost me 14,000. Yikes.

I don't remember much of anything from the MacGuffin quest. It's like a high school subject you forget as soon as you graduate. I do remember using the obsidian dagger quite a bit, even though I had stronger weapons, because the elemental bonus was amazing against ghosts. Oh, by the way, if you need some wines, I believe I threw what I had left in the stash.

I haven't had any luck scrounging demon names for the summoning circle. When you fight that guy, be ready for a serious ass-whoopin. His first attack killed me instantly until I came back with a strategy.

You have some of the zun ones. Actually, I have like 5- 8 of them all except the first one, sicne I kept using the first one to start the chain - so therefore now I'm fighting just to get it (the marsala)

Just liek the pixels (I wasned some adventures to get some of everything fro mthe tinkerer) I'll put what I have left in the stores. Warning - don't drink dusty wines!

SWEET...MOTHER...HUBBARD!

I just got my arse handed to me constantly by lord spookyraven!

I went and adventured in the black forest to boost my money to afford the anti-sleeze skill, sicne the firts attack by him was an 86hp sleeze attack i never recovered from

If I had known not to bother, that that was the least attack he could make...

Man, I got one hit wiped out about five times until I lucked only 150odd damage from a heat attack to actually get the jump on him!

And even then, it was my multi-hands skill and some unspeakable scrolls that saved me, letting me fire a combination of green pixel potiosn for healing while also takign the damage for scrolling him.

Still, that's two parts of the ee staff got - time to go look for some pirates

Well, tomorrow

And from what I understand, for the next few days since the parindrome soudns eivl for RNG. Although I do get kinda what I need to do - look under a red dog, or something...

My dad keeps going on about a Fire Poi being a good wep (for Moxie classes). I think it drops during the Orc-Hippy war thing in the level 12 quest. I'm still using my Star Crossbow. I tried using a melée wep (can't remember what but it had good dam) against a Protector Spirit but couldn't even hit the bastard. I can't hit it every time with my Crossbow either but at least I can a bit, even if I do sod all damage due to the resists :P. But my skelly pet was doing nearly 20 dam some hits S(ppoky dam).
Meh, I'll mess around with some other stuff and try those ghosties again another time. It's not like there's a time limit :).

Oh, I have that (if you mean fore pot not poi - i got it from the 8-bit realm) - I keep meaning to use it, but forgot - doesn't seem to appear as a combat item

It's not brillaint, but the spectre sceptre seems to provide small damage/bonuses for otherwise undamageable opponents - but i think the obsidian knife it probably still better

I still say get the items you gret from spookyraven - they do about 40 heat damage, which is enough to take out those protectors

No, I did mean Fire Poi - it's some kind of Moxie (ie ranged) wep that does good dam + fire. Any items that give bonus elemental dam would be good against those kind of creatures but I don't seem to have anything decent enough to kill them before they take me down. Bastards :P. I'll get 'em eventually - managed the BonerDragon didn't I? ;)

Ohh yeah I have several Scrolls of Obscene Evil or whatever they're called that I made from stuff in Spookyraven...hmm might give that a go...as long as whatever I try actually works before the bastard finishes me off hehe.

Basically you need about 6 health yourself to inflict abut 40 damage (in the cxase of spookyraven) - from what remember of the spirits, it was enough damage to put them away right away!

You oculd equip the pool balls from the manor too for some additional elemental damage if you have a one handed weapon (since I@m using melee weapons I've managed to equip things liek the moxie magnet at the moment)

I'm still using my crossbow 'cause I've not found anything better since then - yeah some melée weps have a higher dam numbe rbut I'm useless with them 'cause I'm not a Muscle class so I keep missing. I'll try a Scroll of whatever-it-was...

I must admit I'm probably missing out maxing my moxie, but I've usually kept a good trade off of the two. The mysticality isn't too bad either,

f course, I am relying on my items alot, so the fluctuation of my stats depending on what items I ned to equip is quite weird

Also, I feel a little like I've cheated, sicne the mr accessory accessory is just, very good as an accessory!
