Aww, Westian needs to hit level 7 before he can make ability score healing potions that would also remove annoying red areas from wounds and RSI! :D

THAT'S TODAY IN BACKWARDS WORLD!

Yeah, you have fun having fun, it's actually warm out, so I've already been for a walk. Plus I have the doctor who: writer's tail, and plan to bnurn through it while sitting in the window.

Plus, you know, the longer I can drag out your death by Oitu the better :p

Happy 4th of July!

Well, except for the fact that its been raining all day, and so our bbq was pretty much ruined  (and contrary to popular belief its only supposed to rain every day in seattle in winter. From the end of may to the beginning of Sept its usually really nice 70-90degrees and sunny. Stupid giant volcano in Iceland screwing up my summer  )

But on the plus side, I got a post off! :)

Ok, so what am I planning on doing with this Oitu. Actually i'm not sure besides running in circles going HOLY F'N SHEEET AN OITU EEEK! No actually, ive got a nebulous plan to have the Oitu trigger the pressure pad. Then when whatever happens, hopfully it'll be confused/distracted/teleported out of there. If it's still around, Petal's gonna try and swoop in and grab the wand out of her clone's hand.

Aww, Iremember coming back from Seattle after Pax last year in September, funny to leave when it was dull and spitting with rain, and come back to the UK where we had a mini-heat wave. It was the wrong way around!

Seattle seems to have comparible weather to Britain, and god bless it for it :D

Anyway, you have a wand, but...yeah...the pad plan had one tiny flaw. That running idea is probably a good one.

PAX? You go all the way from Britain to PAX? Wow, I remember when PAX was 50-100 ppl in the food court of the Westlake Mall. Thats really cool :)
Yeah, rainy, grey, but I dont think we get the pea-soup-fog that ive heard of. Then again, that might just be legends, the way in my travels around the US the people on the east coast thought that there was active lava-spewing volcanos, earthquakes, and it rained (like tropical rainstorm rain) ALL the time here.

Its what I always tell people, Seattles the most beautiful city in the US with perfect weather....for 3 months outta the year.

Hey, if you're planning on comin to PAX again, lemme know and I'll show ya around :D

No, I'm not sure with that last sentence I want to go look in the story thread...No I definately think I dont...

Yeah, it was a cool excuse for a holiday, me and the friend I went with also wanted ot at least go once. Not sure if we would go again (plus the east coast is, sadly, closer). Still, never say never, especially when I liked what I saw of Seattle. It seemed to have a cool mix of different things in a nice balance.

And yeah, British weather is pretty much Seattle weather, except without the decent stretch of warm weather. We've gone from heat wave to freezing to raining in days. Days I tell you!

And yeah, the you might want to laugh at the pain I'm inflicting on the main group, instead of seeign the pain I'm inflicting on you. :D

I guess no one except money knows what I'm doing to Falkor. He's been busy last week, but is still around... and did get a chance to remember exactly what I was doing to him too. Hey, it's level 10 - 11, in DM that's pretty deep. Plus you guys all have two high a number of hit points, abilities scores, spell slots, or whatever.

So am I! Yeah, his work exploded cause of a cool new roll -out thingie, so worry not. He still remmebered exactly the bad place i put him, so once he gets all that business and all that family time caught up with, I hope to be able to torture him some more!

And cool, since you read the old stuff aswell as his stuff, then you might appreciate the confrontation Falkor just had. And could have again...

Some questions: Getting the empty flask is a move action, and casting a spell is a standard action, so I cannot drink the potion this round?

Snake staff: Westian knows that it can increase the amount of mana, but not what else it can do. How do you try to figure that out?

Hmmm..I had some more, but cannot remember them now. I am sure they will come back to me! :)

As a fullround action while not directly being attacked, I'll let you retrieve a flask, cast a potion and drink it. Ain't I nice? (Answer: Mwahahahahah)

Snake staff: Knowledge (religeon) check, although I think you did one of those. Really, trying ot use it with a knolwedge check in combat or against someone, with an effect in mind, might get you more info. Really, appraise is the skill for knowing exactly what items are. The other knowledge ones can let you wing it a little though.

Very nice. Thank you.

Okay, if (as I as a player suspect) we will be facing some non-material being Westian will whip it (the snake staff) out because the sword will not be much good. Even someone who has never seen a ghost will guess that.

And also, I have magical aptitude, + 2 on appraise and use magical device. Will that help?

My UM VI gave 10 HP back, most welcome. Although I forgot that going down to 8 con means that I lose more HP, I better change that now.

Yeah, you've 'permenantly' dropped 12 hit points during that encounter. Youch. Still, Haynuus is doing slightly worse, since his various afflictions have robbed him of AC, melee, athletics and acrobatics so far. Oh, yeah, and some more con too (6 hp reeduction).

And I will say nothing about what you may, or may not, be about to face. Well, nothing outside the confines of what your characters get to know.

And yep, your magical apptitide will ensure you get a +2 bonus to figure out and use magical items, and more importantly I'll bias any knowledge gained more towards the stuff you'd find out with an appraise. So there you go :)

Maybe, nowt wrong with using everything you can!

Darn, I forgot I had asked Ian a question yesterday, so hadn't moved Haynuus on any. I feel bad now! Will probably still wait for the answer, but will try to update Haynuus last thing tonight, first thing tomorrow.

Bah, you are barely passed half hit points. I think everyone but Ameena has seen the dark side of negative hit points :p And Ameena's visited single digitville, on the way to 'being blasted to pieces'. I can't wait to unlock her single player tale.

Hmm, never reduced Aurek that badly. Well, you know, until I drowned him to bypass that. That's possible cheating though. Feels unsporting...

Yes, get out while you still can. If your character sees an orc, elf and rat limping around the place run in the opposite direction! :)

On the other hand, if your character sees a half-orc, half-elf, and murafu wandering around, it's probably already too late so you may as well just join in with the running and scraming and random confusion as we all throw dice everywhere and get eaten by invisible-flying-undead-screaming-biting-stinging-shooting-hitting beasties :D.

Searched for the word 'potion' and I can't see anything about him handing them back out again... Will assume that the two VI potions are Haynuus's!

Ohh found this remark, though which means that he could maybe get some of his stats back from quaffing one of the potions. Keep the other one for Westian.

Yes, any potion above an ON potion will start giving you back ability points. Soorec's two 'secret' potions were both '9th level' MON VI potions, so you can get back up to six ability points (your choice which you recover). AS previously, I htink you might have planned to hand them back, then not ended up getting the chance ot hand them on to anyone! I had though you kept the odd potions, and shared the VI ones with Westian.

And lol, I should have known the reason why you were absent - spain did well! Ive now only got one sweepstake team (Holland), and I'm up against my MD who has spain!

And awww, poor main party...when their woes get listed, it almost sounds bad. I'd cry, if Westian hadn't just rolled kick-ass on the turning attempt, and if most other critters weren't lying in hacked pieces aroudn them. :D

That's hacked and stabbed, thank you very much ;).
I'll wait for the apparently-upcoming map(s) before I post an IC reply, so I know where I can move Ameena to now that we can actually see this undead water-beasty...

From Wikipedia

"Because the Dvorak layout concentrates the vast majority of key strokes to the home row, the Dvorak layout uses about 63% of the finger motion required by QWERTY, thus making the Dvorak layout more ergonomic.[9] Because the Dvorak layout requires less finger motion from the typist compared to QWERTY, many users with repetitive strain injuries have reported that switching from QWERTY to Dvorak alleviated or even eliminated their repetitive strain injury."

Evereyone switch to DVORAK unless you want to end up like LB! Maybe we shud get him a DVORAK keyboard?

Funny, I just heard about this over the weekend (my girlfriend has problems with her wrist). I read a comic about it, and have been half-thinking of switching over.

Inertia is the main problem. I think if (when?) keyboards become electronic touch screen type things as standard, there will be a switch. The problem now is renaming all the keys on the standard qwerty.

Oh, and I like the creatures. I imagine then like the pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Glad that I rolled well, it does seem that everyone is performing their speciality well (assuming Aurek's speciality is sinking).
