I think meeting that Medusa is one of the all time greatest RPG moments, it was very atmospheric not to mention pretty scary. There is also a similar game called 'Crystal Dragon' that is not mentioned much, which is also a very good game and is available for WinUae

another thing i didnt like was the skeleton knights before you fight asteroth, they werent scary, but the reason i didnt was because they hit so damn hard, have to ready your spells before confronting them

They are great, I ripped the graphic off for a monster in Towers of Chaos! You had to be extremely quick too.

You don't need me. That capability is already in CSBuild/CSBwin.
Either directly (add to the food bar) or indirectly (create an apple).

blah, ive looked at the dungeon and all i see is just settings, no cheats o.o ah well, i dont like cheating anyway *returns to topic* hey flibble, what do you think of the spiders? ^.^

I think looking at it IS cheating! If you used CSBWin that is.

The little red things with one eye? One bash from the Stone Mace and they died! Come to think of it, one bash from the Stone Mace killed anyhing

it's niot a cheat, its a design feature - you'd have to set up a dungeon with that feature!

.....................................................................................

................. what the heck o.o

if thats actually a monster added to your game and not something done on paint, that would be a laugh to fight, hmm, i might just go into this editing thing, i wanna make myself ^.^

Thats a real screen shot! You need to read the whole 'Small and very silly DM Story' thread for how it came about.

Its hard as nails! And growls.

Can't say I really hated any of Black Crypt. The number of illusionary walls were slightly annoying, as were some of the delayed traps, but apart from that, a top game.

Computers? At college? What is the world coming to...

I don't remember much of Black Crypt, since I only played it once, and that was 12 years ago or so. What I do remember is that I thought the game was way too hard. I played with a walkthrough and could not believe what I was seeing in the game. I was constantly thinking "How the hell am I supposed to think of THAT without a walkthrough?". But hey, I was just 13 or 14 back then, so I might have a different impression were I to play it again. Even with all the puzzles solved for me, I still got stuck. I think it was the beginning of level 12, all I remember is that there were lots and lots of some sort of insects that I just could not kill. It would be pretty interesting to try that game again, I think...

Eh? Who said that?

When I was at college (er, 1994) computers were a luxury. The most advanced piece of electronics were the Texas Ti81 grpahics calculators with 2k of memory, and my keyring that made a noise like a grenade launcher.

Paul,

I think you statement of when you were in College was off by 10 years.
I had an HP-41CV in College (1982 - 1984). Yes Computers were uncommon at that time except for Apple II Clones, C64's and early IBM XT Clones.

Cheers

If I was at college in 1982, I would have been 4!

And computers, or anything valuable for that matter, Sheffield, mid 90s, and having the college slap bang in the middle of one of the most notorious council estates in the country was a bad combination.
