I wondered what that was about as well as what was on the other side of the sudden death pit. Anyway, there's a couple more things I haven't done yet:

How do I release the ring behind the door in the cellar when playing as Iaido?

How do I open the door of answers?

the ring door, you just need to think like zyx
once people remove the straight jacket, you should be fine (its sneaky but does not require a quest or anything to find the release)

the door of answers - perhaps you need to have proved yourself somewhere else? its not too far away
