Sorry, JCG, Beo got there first, so I deleted your 'into' as it spoilt the flow.

Pfeeuu...! What a HOT topic ! Even if I reload the page for checking just before sending a word, I still see conflicts. I even had to delete myself a few of my posts. BTW, I noticed that it's not possible to do it when a post arrives just after, but I guess it's normal.

You know what, for bonus points any artists could try and create a few storyboards of this story once it's done.
I for one would love to see a Vorpal hamster in action, or the powerful effect of a christmas undergarment.

Hissssa in tinsel, dude. It hasn't topped that yet. XD

this is true...

i wonder if he asked permission to take it from the elf shield, or if he has a sneaky/innocent look as linflas is hunting aroudn for it...

He probably just grabbed it and put it on his person. Linflas is now busy wimpering and trying to find something else to decorate his shield with that won't clash with his tights.

Vorpal hamster :
category : monster
speed : 2
Base health : 10
attack type : none
special abilities : steals (and eats) food items anywhere from your inventory, except from closed chests
immune to all material attacks (FIGHTER, NINJA), can be harmed only with attack spells
immune to freeze life
may drop a vorpal blade when killed

Christmas undergarment :
category : armor
produces light ( like the Illuminet )
STAMINA +5
ANTI-FIRE +5
LUCK (hiden statistic) +10

I imagine Vorpal hamsters to be cousins of the killer rabbit in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

Eneverate: lacking physical, mental, or moral vigor

So, is this an effect we could get in DM? Doesn't appear to be any settings for charisma.. :P but yeah if it took away the moral ... mental could reffer to the casting of spells? make it harder (ie. gothmog has difficulty casting this spell) to cast spells while eneverated. Also the physical.. perhaps slower? can't carry as much? or just damned thirsty all the time?

.. wanders off to draw the vorpal hamster.. :)

If I had been drinking anything, it would have been all over my monitor. Thanks, guys. Laughs are always good. I'm not sure what's funniest but that's okay - it's all entertaining.

Aaarghhhhh! Please pay attention to the punctuation. I've just had to edit a bunch of my posts to fit other's replies.... yes, I am *that* pedantic!
"Beer!" bellowed Mophus, for our feathered llamas gave pleasure dancing buoyantly adrift myoclonic take-off yesterday.

Okay, I know we're trying to be creative and all, but I don't think some of the thesaurused words are used properly. Yes, one of their definitions may vaguely work, but if there's a more precise word for the situation, one that definitely fits, go for it. Please. I think the whole thing would be much more coherent if we stuck to a more comfortable vocabulary. I have a very good vocabulary and I'm an English-language nerd, and I don't recognize some of these words well enough to know what to stick after them. If I have to look it up in a dictionary, I don't write the next word.

Of course, since it seems we are trying for an incoherent mess, by all means feel free to stick random words in. It's just frustrating for me to try to add in a word and find that I don't even know what part of speech belongs next in the sentence. Diagramming these sentences would be hell.

Feel free to ignore me

lol, no, it's a good point, i know i personally love shoving some strange words in just for the twisted sentences it could make...but too much or as you say used wrongly and it does get a mess, and i guess we aren't a completely english speaking board either!

I don't understand some of the words either so I a) skip that go b)look it up and learn c) have a wild guess and hope it fits. It usually does fit, and may create an amusing effect. I am sure it could be much, much worse than what's already been submitted.

There are plenty of oppurtunities to write something, just have to be quicker than Gambit!!

I'm trying to get more posts than BFS by replying to the Christmas thread as often as possible - but as I'm sure you can tell, I'm not succeeding.

I guess as long as everyone's having fun, regardless of word choice, the story is a good thing~

It's actually quite an interesting exercise to see people's forum viewing habits/times. You can get back-and-forth postings between the same 2 or three people at different times of the day which gets fun.... :)
