Yeah, Syra and Linflas are Elves. Leif is the Viking-type dude with all the red hair and big moustache.

syra looks like one who would eat his companions
Dammit, Syra's a girl! First Tiggy, now Syra -- you're all obsessed with gender reassignment!

strange enough, elves and faires get often confused with each other, for example the tinkerbell-thingie in peter pan is claimed to be an elf (in the german version at least). the quote-fairy in DM is of course tiggy.
we also have "elben" (tolkien-translation) and "elfen" (gigax-translation and of course all fairies) in germany. i think, tolkien had his translator use the b-elves (hehe) to annoy gigax as sole purpose.
rather confusing if you are not inside fantasy-stuff. for me, ad&d monster library is always right and many follow them, like charmed (at least, as far as i see it).

LOL, alright, I aplologise for bismirching the idea of the Four Horsemen of the Apocolyse!

Ii wasn't havign a go, honest, I too think of them exactly like that, despite what their 'real' names are supposed to be!

Did I say Leif? I meant Linflas. Cut me some slack, they're both dudes whose names begin with L and my brain isn't always fully functional. Wah wah wah.

There are so many different words for different kinds (or even the same kinds!) of fantasy creatures that I have given up trying to figure out exactly what name to use for which. I use the names I like, since I'll have to clarify and explain anyway.

Wu Tse is a GIRL. C'mon, am I going to have to become the Character Defense Squadron now? I could do it, you know ... singlehandedly be a squadron...

... I'll just recruit a couple screamers and those stupid coatl things that everyone hates.

i like the Couatls though, am i the only one who likes them? ;.;

I've never gotten far enough to fight them. I think. I'm not sure. I just know that when I read the "going through CSB for the first time" thread, everyone was full of fear and hatred for those guys.

I like Couatls.

And I am sure that Gando likes to wear his wife's underwear... He has that certain expression on his face...

whoopie, now theres 2 who like them... >.>... <.<... i dare ask why you thought that up about gando though, expression or not, thats just sooo wrong =P

Just look at his face. He is the friendly-grandfather-type that like to tell some good stories to the neighbor's kids, but his kind and open face hides a dark secret... I am absolutely sure...

Champions of that infamous dungeon...
excuse me as i contribute something on topic :p

Although I have a tendency to employ female characters in the party, Tunda (the Centaur kid) Kazai (the sequestered Ninja) and Itza (the funky Aztec) seem to be the best allrounders.
Adding Petal for mana resources or Sting to carry the loads makes a great quartet, as discovered in my recent (5th? 6th?)visit.

Still I enjoyed much more playing with my imported DM characters who had formerly been reincarnated and made their path to the higher master degrees (never became archmasters though)...

I like petal, if I remember her name correct, she's the only one I remember...I think...but I reincarnate her and call her Sara. That's why she's my avatar(You might not notice what I'm talking about if I change my avatar before you see this.)

ok... I know I'm comming in just a LITTLE late on this but uh. :P

Dema and Sting were always my favorites.

But honestly I'm most impressed with the DM_Enhanced characters. They just blew me away when me and brothers picked up CSB and went to import our Dungeon Master champions. Even Mopheus and Nabi look good in CSB.

I'm considering starting a two-person team to try to win CSB for the first time.
I think, "Hmmm, I can look at THIS thread to see which characters to pick."

Now all I can think, as I sit smiling smugly, chuckling in the darkness, is how the 'You All Is So POLITE' thread fits in here.

I fear I must needs start a new thread, after all,
about which two characters to pick for my first time completely through CSB.

My faworite is Skelar the slayer. It's probsly the Darooou of the CSB.

Smiling mophus does not name him phycho. After all many of them smile: Syra, Tiggy, Azizi, Halk in DMplus portrait...

How do you think syra looks like some predator? For me she just looks like an extremely merry person. If someone is predator I would quess it's most probaly either Leyla (Shadowseek as title may tell something), Chani (because of the DMplus image), Wuuf (again becasue of DMPlus), Sonja or Gothmog.

About leif he looks much like a sweden for me
