dzień dobry & cześć Chacal & ADDF_Toxic!
Pozdrowienia dla wszystkich mówiących najpiękniejszym językiem na świecie!!!
BTW: sign which country You are from (for everyone, who didn`t yet). I know that there`s at least 5 polish registered. Maybe we should make a national-rooms ?
(only joking!)

And this is why I put
Location: USA, Washington (West Coast, not DC which some people in Europe confuse us with)
In my profile
and I can't say I've seen a Cheesy tree but it sounds so cool and edible

What about cauliflower cheese? Isn't that, like, erm...well it should be, like, erm...a flower...with cheese on it, and...erm...extra cauli...because, erm...whatever cauli is...an offshoot of an intelligent breed of dog...so there you are - an intelligent flower with cheese on it!

I tried adding a poll, but I had too many options. Oh, wait, that was on my favourite levels one, but this would have even more options than the level one, so that wouldn't work. But I'll count them up (names taken from the Dungeon Master Adventurer's Handbook)(Points scored in tallies):

Hello
Hmmm... my favourite creatures in DM are:
- Giant Scorpions (amazing graphics, great sounds, very impressive)
- Couatls (great graphics too, frightening by their speed!)
- Mummies (I can't forget this first encounter!!)
- Red Dragon (What a shock! ^^)
- Lord Chaos ("Hell... this guy is invincible?"... first encounter with the cute horned guy ^^).

The dum-dum of the mummies is the coolest and scariest sound.
The rock piles were nice, never really liked the screamers, and didn't like the blue guys with clubs at all. Hated the snakes, loved the magenta worms even though they always freaked me out.
The dragon was cool, and scary. Hated the wasps. Hated the water puddles. Hated the ghosts. The thieves were cool. Scorpions were 'meh'.
Floating eyes, I love them! They were my favorites until I remembered SKELETONS!!!!!
Damn those skeletons were the coolest ever, the creaking sound... ahhh!!!! superb!
Most of my memories come from when I first started playing this game when I was young. I got up to level 4 (the magenta worm level) and I didn't dare enter the room with the worms in because I was terrified of them! I always used to watch my dad play, and I really enjoyed watching him. There was a real sense of atmosphere when I was that age. I loved it.

That's what I did when I was younger too! It was quite a while before I found dmweb.free.fr when we got there, so I remembered worms just down the stairs. We got to level 6, then the Atari ST started corrupting disks, that's why I have stew now: Atari

They ARE Blue Meanies. I don't care what the books call them, or the game calls them, or the Encyclopedia calls them. To me, they always have been and always will be Blue Meanies. But they're not my favorite monsters.
I'd say my favorite would probably be the Screamers. They're just SO stupid. And I love their sound. I look at them and I want to laugh, pat them on the head, and then chop them up into tasty and nutritious broccoflowermelon. Mmm, broccoflowermelon.
As for the dragons and wings, I think any wings they had would have atrophied off because there isn't anywhere for them to fly in the dungeon. I mean, they're in a DUNGEON, for crying out loud. And unlike the couatls, they're very large, meaning that if they extend their neck, they probably brush the top of their heads against the ceiling. No room for flying = no flying = wings have nothing to do. It's probably just as well they don't have wings, otherwise they'd be in constant pain of unused muscles.

Every time I read "blue meanies" I think about this line :

Anyone know where it's from ? And don't tell me it's a Guns n' Roses song !And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squad cars are after our lone driver, the last American hero, the electric sitar, the demigod, the super driver of the golden west. Two nasty Nazi cars are close behind the beautiful lone driver. The police numbers are gettin' closer, closer, closer to our soul hero in his soul mobile, yeah baby. They're about to strike, they're gonna get him, smash him, rape the last beautiful free soul on this planet. But, it is written, if the evil spirit arms the tiger with claws, Brahman provideth wings for the dove. Thus spake, the super guru.
