Training can be fixed so you don't gain ANY levels!

freeze effects zyx? dont make me laugh, i fought fairly and i emerged the best, as for training block, i find that a bit desperate of you ;)

All these people who like to train, can't they just ask the dungeon designer nicely to give them a special version of the game with champions already set to archmaster everything, and then use the extra time to help the elderly or learn banjo or somehting, *sheesh*

I say if you've found a training fix good on you zyx!

Training is fun in its own right Beo ! Didn't you know ?

Its wonderfully theraputic in a hypnotic kind of way to sit for hours swiping a sword or endlessly casting fireballs. I've actually fallen asleep at my key board before only to be awoken by enraged squawks from a couple of hyperactive screamers.

You've been missing out !

Also in my defence ! I tried years ago to complete DM without going up any levels at all. Just dodging and using gates and stuff (along with magic boxes) to do any necessary killing. Just a couple of spells needed along the way. I think I did it it too though it was in 1989 or something so Im a bit hazy on the details. Either did it or was damn close !

I'not against training. I just want to limit its unbalancing effects. anyway my fix won't be very noticeable and you will still be able to hypnotize yourself.

I have done it myself while waiting for DM...I included areas and food to train in my original dungeon,,,I'm just more and more finding the practice annoying as games usually get balanced for the party that is there, not sme freak super party that is whining about food

Anyway, just a bugbear I seemed to have developed - that and people getting annoyed nby unkillable monsters! It's not all about making things going poof! Well, not all the time... : )

why is Chaos always teleporting when i try to fuse?

isn´t it about to fluxcage him, then fuse?!

now that i am that close, i want to finish...

Yes, you must entrap him in the Fluxgace first, but it sounds to me as though you are only csating the Fluxcage on the square Lord Chaos is on - he will teleport away if there's a gap in the cage, ie an empty space beside him. Oh, and he can't teleport through walls, which makes things easier (though I never did it that way, didin't know you could till recently).

it´s done!!!

... after so many years (but in fact, and with lots of practice, in only 4 days), i finished Dungeon Master!

the champions are Linflas, Leif, Mophus and of course Boris...

i feel relieved somehow. funny ending, though. but of of course you cannot expect a great ending animation from an 18 year old game...

thanks for your support!

Well done Kebes, Chaos strikes back next.

I always liked the ending to DM, aways going to be a bit tricky no matter where the game is saved or how many times its been completed in the past. I always found the ending to CSB a bit of an anti-climax.

The ending to DM was brilliant first time I completed it. Now however, I cant help but get the giggles whenever that villager does a cheap 3 frame backflip.

 Villager? Backflip? Am I missing something here?

PC 3.6 version maybe?

Everyone seems to rate Boris. I always find him way too wimpy. Hes got about as much stamina as Paula Radcliffe on a hot day.

Better than tiggy - Boris da man!

And yes, The PC game has an animation at the end rather than the simple 'well done people, zap zap zap bang*

Oh yeah Tiggy, He makes Boris look like Freddie Flintoff. My first ever team had Boris and Tiggy. This resulted in the ultimate humiliation of having a team wiped out by a couple of screamers. This is the first time Ive admitted this to anyone !

Tiggy solo is some fun times - not noticing that CSB reincarnation rules were on is some VERY fun times

*touch*

hey, why's she dead?

Boris and Tiggy are pretty useless IMO! Unless you like to plod around

simple well done, zap zap zap??
no beowuuf.
- I think you get a nice hero portrait screen with all the ninja fighter wizard and priest levels of all your characters.
(or is this the atari version again?! If so I eat my hat!)

I mean I like the level screen better than the animation(where, if I remember right, you do not see what your champions have become)
edit:
Personally, I do not choose Tiggy or Boris "very often"
Boris just doesn´t convince me. And Tiggy is too extreme.

Boris rules, everyone is wrong, and in the amiga version you get to see the in game animation followed by your stats, an animation i went and redid in DSAs recently, in fact

I'd rather play blindfold with Stamm than use Boris

I would *like* to see that video!
(with a custom Stamm hero portrait
having a red eye cloth over his eyes.)

My first team ever was Boris, Tiggy, Gando and Wuuf since they had the most mana. And yes, I did complete the game with them, multiple times in fact, and for years, I was absolutely convinced that this was the best party anyone could ever have. Today, I am a bit wiser - and still say that Boris totally rocks!

Thank you trantor, saner head will prevail!

Thnough PaulH has said it before and I will totally back him up for the best soloer, forget the initial lack of mana, Satmm ROCKS!

Well I always chose Hissa or Sonya over Stamm *snickers*.
