Good thinking, The quick nap I had intended for them turned into lethal sleeping sickness. They slept to death!
About time I saved I thought, a little sleep and then I will save. Doh Doh Doh.

Got myself lost now too ! Cant find a key I safely had before they died.
Never mind, I expect I will get back on course soon. Paul whats that steel museum place like in Sheffield. Going to Derby soon on short hol and thats mentioned in the local attractions. Magna I think its called. Is that Sheffield ? Or am I thinking of the wrong place.

Magna is great, built in a huge disused steel mill. It is also near the Meadowhall shopping complex (both just off the viaduct, j34 M1, and cooling towers - remember the shots from Full Monty?!).
Great value too, so well worth a visit.

Its stepped up a gear of late, I have added some complete new levels and got some play testing in.
I wouldn't say I write, just make it up as I go along!
I hope to have it released before Christmas... maybe hehe

Look forward to it, as you know I hold this one in high regard. Though Im well lost here ! Only needed one hint up to now. But I think I will be needing some directions tomorrow. Another 10 mins and I will have to give up for the night.

If you like The Black Flame, you should definitely play Towers of Chaos, Paul's other big dungeon - it is even better in my opinion.

Sounds good. I will d/l it in the morning. It so great to have these new games to keep up the interest. Im just not technically minded enough to be able to do my own. I was sorry to have to give up with Conflux, but was just totally lost without food, I love these games but mapping huge areas is not really me. Might have another go sometime.

I don't bother mapping huge areas, I just kinda run around till I find stuff I need, then run around trying to remember the way back to where I came from in order to use it, or whatever, and getting totally lost due to teleports/falling down pits/the dungeon walls having moved/being ambushed by some scary mobs and running away in panic and running into any of the three previous problems.
But apart from all that, I know my way round custom dungeons perfectly!!!

Froud - Was that moria you got lost in? The key thing is there are only a few key areas, and actually alot of interlinking - you jsut run around alot. The exit is near the entrance too, so so you escape at any time! And also, I beleive Paul S is older than you, so there you go, don't worry about it : )
And Upper Tack...hmm, not heard of it, but I will now keep my eye out when I am wandering and if I find it, why I shall just run up all excited and go 'hey, I know your niece's' firend's brothers' cousin's roomate's dog's peadiatriciant's friend kinda from a forum, take me in and gimme food I'm staving. Or maybe I won't....

You've all gone off topic again, please keep to the subject of the thread.
Yes, I'm also guilty as hell.

We've gone off-topic in a thread that was created as a new thread 'cause it was off-topic? Can't this one just be renamed "The waffly crap thread" so you can't moan at us any more

.
Look! Look! He's grumpy! You see? He TOLD US OFF, eeeeeevil Gammy!
Well the Inn of Lost Souls thread is meant to be the "talk bollocks" thread but erm...surely we can do that other places too?

Well let's face it, we do that anyway, most of the time

I moved it after Gambit said that, cause it was true, it used to be the 'what happens at the door' thread (I thought it was Frouds!)

Yeah Beo, the Moria. Im really lost ! Give me a hint as to where I need to go. It can be a big hint if you want, I won't mind honest.
Though I bet Ive still got more chance of finding my way out than Ameena and her friend have of finding Aberdeen !

You'll have to get passed the killer cat...

Arrrgh *avoids Pedant Mode*...
Why do you need a cat when you're a dog

.
Posted: Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:57 am
by beowuuf
passed = to pass. past = time
Or different pedantry?
No one needs a cat, they just appear and are never picked up again
Posted: Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:59 am
by Ameena
No, same pedantry....you get past something. Once you've got past it, you have passed it

Cats are good for killing spiders, I was getting stalked by one the other day. It kept rushing me from beneath the TV and then running away again.
The cat got it the next day. Well done Mitzy ! Real spiders are more scary than dungeon ones.

Ah, its nearly the time of year when the great big house spiders (tegenaria gigantia - sorry thats a bit sad I know) come out to play!
Cats are great at catching daddy long legs too! Out of mid air!

My dog has a habit of trying to catch bumble-bees. Thankfully has always failed (usually hear a snap of teeth and a confused look) but one day she will get the shock of her life.

by beowuuf
Bumblebees are electric?
Posted: Sat Jul 30, 2005 8:24 pm
by Ameena
Yeah, didn't you know? That's why their fur sticks out in all directions and they emit a buzzing sound...
Posted: Sat Jul 30, 2005 8:35 pm
by beowuuf
Should have known with the buzzing...and that's why scientists say they shouldn't be able to fly - they haven't thought about those electric powered motors
