Trip was good, thanks! I was in northern Spain for 2 weeks (The Official Holiday Destination of the Thiy and Artaxes Thread, since Ian was there not so long ago). Very nice. Also popped over the border to Portugal. Did you know you can buy a beer in a bar in Portugal for 80 cents? With free tapas thrown in to sweeten the deal. You almost feel bad.

I haven't read all of the Thiy & Artaxes story yet. But, I've read all of Sssil's story and it's great. Must admit there have been a few surprises in there

Ameena just told me that Raixel is still around - busy with real life but not with anything bad. Apparently she still is thinking of coming back for the game, perhaps, so weeeee. Even if she just came back to lurk and post in the forums in general that would be cool.


So anyway, that's where we are with that.

Well I'm good...looking forward to getting into action in this game again as I was really enjoying my character and the general whatever that was going on and stuff - makes a big difference from the other RPG I'm currently in where I generally have not much idea of what's going on and keep forgetting stuff I do know because it's moving fairly slowly. Hopefully we can get back to lizard guys in the swamp soon!

Well, I just finished the Thiy & Artaxes thread... I'm really liking the story, but it's a shame that both stories have stalled at exciting bits (Sssil could be about to have a bunch of Chaos worshippers kicking the crap out of him, and the other thread doesn't look too far away from that either )

BTW I noticed something... why didn't any of the NPCs ask if Thiy and Artaxes are related? (He's repeatedly calling her "sister" and when the translation spell was going, everyone would've heard it... should've caused at least some confusion or questions IMO)

I haven't read any of that other thread - I don't like to risk "tainting" my character's knowledge with my own if I know more than she does, since I tend to forget, after a while, what she knows and what she doesn't (if I know something OOC that's relevant but which she doesn't) and may end up accidentally having my character reference something she doesn't actually know about, or take an action she wouldn't have taken if she didn't know something, etc.

@Ameena: I can understand that completely, especially in a story full of strange words and concepts... even more especially for poor Urrffruh, that can't really understand stuff all that well

The translator maybe translates the concept of 'sister' in to a religeoius context. Or it's maybe so obvious that they are related because they look the same to the lizar, and so it's not questioned

Good point, Beo. Hadn't thought of it like that. But, I still think that at some point one of the younger lizars should question them about it... "You brother and sister, but you so different" for instance.

Good that Raixel is potentially back. And welcome back LB, it has been a while!

As for the sister thing...well Artaxes calls her sister, they were (apparently) travelling together, and they are both human. Plus they bicker all the time. Definitely seem like brother and sister.

That was my thinking too... thus, I'm surprised Raixel never threw a question or 2 from the lizards about it.
