I'm really surprised about the great circle riddle, solved without asking any hint here. It's incredibly hard, it's like an easter egg inside the game. Congratulations!
I give you a clue for the sewer treasure room:

try to interact with an object that appears empty near that room and different from the other you saw.
The runes:

VEN Hieronymus' house, underground; KATH Great hall of the guilds; GOR Library inside the tower
Secret coins: they are 20 and you must use them choosing

the right slots in the treasure level (green walls) to find the 4 mirrors. These items can give experience for each class.
The Cheater lock in the thieves guild is an alternative way to

solve the treasure room: if you lose the game the room is not lost and can be opened using a lockpick (hardly possible) or a key you find in an alcove protected by a guard: there is a "magic" trick to elude the guards.
The Junius secret chamber is reachable using
Spoiler
cleverly a spell near an apparently unsolvable puzzle.
The 66 days riddle can be solved

waiting 66 days in the clock level but I'm not sure if looking through the door the image looks clear (was it your hint for the great circle riddle?)
The bug in the stair maze level is not a bug because in the same tile there are a movable wall and an illusionary wall;

The "bug" of the firestaff is strange, I remember there is a relay that destroys this artifact near the end to avoid its use (teleport) during the final sequence, but I shoul check.

The spider used instead of an object
is a great idea, I didn't think a similar solution for the puzzle and therefore didn't consider that dead-end.

@Lee:
When I play a dungeon and am stuck I try everything, also the most absurd items. But don't worry: during the game the main puzzles aren't so unusual.

I think I pretty much tried everything EXCEPT that...I was swaying in the breeze for the longest time thinking my

tattered pants had something to do with the string I was looking for and I did put those in my hand
after everything else but realized I was getting desperate so I stopped doing crazy things thinking I was missing something right in front of me!

Thanks for the hints. I'll see if I can solve the parts I missed.

For the Cheater lock,

I did use the invisibility potion to get the solid key from the alcove from the guards area (tile 21,2 on my map). The key doesn't work on the lock. Is this the correct key? Does it only work if you haven't already obtained the treasure? The treasure is easy to get once you have a 2nd party member and an alternate way is not really needed

For the great circle riddle, I did look

through the 66 days door and see the tapestry with the 8 items in a circle on it. The text is readable as well. I wasn't willing to wait the 66 days on the clock level in order to open the door itself
. The individual riddles of the great circle riddle are not that hard. The hard part is knowing where in the game to go to for each riddle.

The 4 leaf clover was a big help in finding the correct locations, but you have to play the game with sound on and not everyone plays DM/RTC with sound.
Now that I have the firestaff, I see that it is destroyed by a trigger near the end of the game

in the final doorway before the end sequence to the Nine Worlds starts
. It may be that in my earlier game that I went this far, activated the trigger without knowing it, and then turned back, as I was mapping the area (easy to do if you have a widescreen monitor and play the game in a small window with the RTC editor open at the same time).

Again, thanks for a great game and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

UPDATE: Got the 3 missing runes. I had gotten Kath in v3.1, but missed it in v3.3. Opened the

sewer treasure room (should have thought of way without the hint) and completed the final treasure room
. Got the tech shield, I would have never thought of the method without the hint. Still need to find the rest of the GOR coins in order to do the

. I'll have to think about an apparently unsolvable riddle, as I don't remember not solving any of the riddles.

thanks. I like the funny little game. There was a wierd game for the atari st called the legend of djell or something like that. It was a weird little french game with a couple of very cool little games within it.

Have you mapped the game? Great!

The sequel needs A LOT of time, maybe a year (I'd like to draw new monsters). When there will be a beta version I could ask you for being a betatester.

Lee, I think that a puzzle like this is doable when you have few items to handle. Out of the prison you will feel a bit confused because the area is really big, there are many places to explore (different quests) and lot of items. Have good luck!

Yes, I've mapped all 17 levels in the RTC Editor. I didn't keep meticulous track of where everything is found, just the floor and wall tiles and some of the alcoves, where the teleports send you, etc. I did not try and replicate the dungeon mechanics. It would be impossible without your graphics and cloned items (and maybe the 2 years you invested in the dungeon).

Is there a way to move boulders? Really stumped trying to figure out the priests council. The x shaped mist . The button at the top of the stairwell. The trapdoor in the spiders den. I killed the spider a long time ago. The doors with the chest behind.(That must open when triggered). That covers about half of my problems with this area.

You are correct. After thinking about it, I remembered that I had not solved the

teleport puzzle on the lower pit level
. When I went back to the

library to get the Gor rune, I remembered the new spell book as well.
Using the
Spoiler
teleport spell I was able to reach the teleport haze and get to the secret Junius chamber. I was surprised about this chamber, as it wasn't where I thought it would be from my maps. I thought it would be the large chamber west of the great hall, but it wasn't. Now, I have to figure out what the room to the west of the great hall is, and where the Junius chamber is.

I only have gotten 2 of the blue clan pcs. I cannot get into the tower without the other 2. There are clan keys in each guild. is the priests council a guild? This game is really impressive! But very difficult.

Alfonzo,

There are 4 guilds, Warrior, Mage, Priest and Thief. Each has a blue clan piece key hidden in them. Once you have all 4 you can enter the tower.

All of my maps are homemade by using the RTC.editor. You might want to try mapping yourself, as it can make getting around and finding things easier. It's easier to map the dungeon if you have both the game and the RTC editor open at the same time in different windows on your monitor screen. To do so, you need to play the game in non-fullscreen mode. To do this add a line to the end of the config file that says FULLSCREEN [tab] NO. Save the config file and restart RTC and you should be in window mode. You can't resize this window, so you need a fairly large monitor to play the game this way comfortably.

The area you're in with the 4 teleporter hazes with the pressure pad in the middle is used to open the door near the teleporters. You must get something on the pressure pad to do this. Think 3-DImensional and don't make it too complicated. I was trying all sorts of things for quite awhile before I tried something simple. It was the simple thing that worked.

I have been working on this game with DM_Player for about the past month and have been able to solve most of the riddles (97% completeion, missing only the

66 days door which I have opened in a seperate game
)

I did however have a question as to what the

magic number
refers to. As I have calculated it I get

66 which is much to large. I cannot find a place where I can walk forward for 66 spaces without running into something, also as none of the accomplishments seem to be tied to solving this particualr riddle I do not know what its significance is.

I could not open all of the walls where the gor coins were. I was able to open all of the important ones but are there simply not enough coins to open all of the walls there?
Something else I was unclear on:

In the wax museum my magical map shows that Lord Chaos/Gray/Order are monsters, but they are treated as walls. I have tried a few different things for this, including getting a bomb from the magic shop on the clock level but I cannot figure out how the bomb works.
Excellent game, I cannot wait to play the mini dungeon when I have some extra time.

I am out of any ideas simple or otherwise. I do not see a way to get anything dropped on the plate. i do not see any spell that would help. I am stuck on this teleporter riddle.

Here's what you do.

Put any inaminate object on the closed pit. Go downstairs to the teleport area and flip the wall switch. The pit will open and the object will fall onto the pressure pad opening the door.

Just playing playing this dungeon, things were going ok but I accidently saved with an injury which slows me down. Is it possible to heal wounds anywhere at all near the beggining? Or better to restart? I got injured at the warriors guild in the arena, which I've since finished. Also, I can't find any water anywhere and it seems when the water bar run out it starts sapping your stamina and eventually kills you, which is different to the original where you could survive without either food or water, but not without both. The game has been a bit of a grind so far, just need water and a way to heal and things should be able to flow again hopefully...

A couple of other things, why does the Mace of Albion hit shop guards for so much damage on the first hit and then nothing after that? I hit one of them with it for 1070 damage or something. There's also an odd ghost bug which occurs when you are hit and killed by monster that pushes you down a pit at the same time, you're dead but can still walk around and do things, still have an inventory, can't use weapons though. There's also a cool way to kill the dragon by war crying him back into the doorways where the fireballs are generated.

If you can get into the priest guild (the solution is easy, infact!) then you can find a healing alternative until you get normal magic

The tavern sells flagons that will do you for now. Each guild has the means to get water, though you'll need to find the tower to know where to use it

The shop guards are probably two types - the single heath neutral one, and if you kill it, it drops the aggressive better defense attacking one.

The ghost bug will be RTC, so best to report it on the bugs forum I guess

Cheers, I'm doing much better but still crawling around the dungeon with broken feet, legs and hands. Haven't gotten into the priest guild yet but haven't really tried. I've got the Vi rune now, so if I could get the spellbook and a flask I'd be away but I'll try the priest guild for now. I didn't realise that about the shop guards, probably a bad idea to fight them I guess. Didn't find a way to get water from the end of the Warriors Guild though.

I am stuck at every turn right now. another area is the security area. I cannot find a way to open the door with the BMWC (blue man with club or whatever he is called.). The doors operate in some pattern with zo spells. I still cannot find a way to get an object on the center pad in the middle of the teleport fields in the graveyard.

So I've been playing this monster of a dungeon, and I thought I was doing pretty good; but I'm a tad bit confused in the thieves' guild. In particular, the "I'd like to test your athletic ability" part. Once I flip that lever, floor switches start appearing everywhere and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to not step on any of them on the way to that door; or in general what is supposed to be happening here.

I'm fairly sure I've made it to the door several times without stepping on any, but nothing ever seems to happen; and I see no other way out of here. The little game downstairs with the rock game was kinda fun, and I got the treasure from there; but I doubt that was part of the door back upstairs. Can anybody help clarify the point of this puzzle for me?


EDIT: In my typical fashion, I figured it out a matter of minutes after posting here. Nevermind, but for the record adamski; this dungeon is a lot of fun. I'm really enjoying it.


EDIT#2: I'm not 100% sure what's going on here, but I'm pretty sure I'm just about done with the priests guild. I'm leading the one who needs to be lead, but there's a certain spot it won't move past. I pushed a table to block the hallway where the black flame was, so that his only option is to move into the room where the mausoleum is. But he just stands there and faces the table. He's been there for over 5 minutes now just dancing around in the same square. Is there something I'm missing here? Because this is stupid. He kinda shuffles around anyways and loves to go the wrong way constantly, but now it's just getting old.


EDIT#3: Right, I'm just going to post here any time I get stuck; because inevitably I figure it out within minutes. So the priest guild is done now, and my last guild to do is the mage's guild. Which I can't even get into. Stupid eye keeps extinguishing all my torches. Which sucks, because all I really want to do is stick said torch into the eye to shut the stupid thing up and making it dark.

I can get past the can't let you past eye, but I am then at a loss to get past the fireballs. I tried looking for illusionary walls, different timings and orientations to get down the hall. I tried bashing and zo spells on the door at the other end of the room. to no avail. I tried going to the other end of the hall where the other fireballs are, nothing. Is this the circle riddle? if not, what riddle is it?

I guessed the 66 steps was the stair maze, which I have solved, but upon completing the game it says the puzzle is unsolved.

I can't seem to find treasure chamber H! Is it in the sewers?

Is it on a level of its own? I have mapped 17 levels without a separate level for the Junius chamber. If it's its own level, then that would make 18 on my maps.

I still haven't figure out a way to get into the

large chamber to the west of the great hall. I killed the guards in the thieves guild thinking there might be a button for a movable wall behind one of them, but no such luck. Is there a way to get into this chamber? It just seems to be too large to be a storage area for monsters and items that are teleported
to other parts of the dungeon.

Hmm that's odd, I could have sworn the dragon run away from me, that was the only way I could trap him in his own fireballs. Anyway, I'm currently stuck. I can't figure out how to get past the door next to the tech eye that says "I will not let you pass" in the mages guild. I have the ZO rune and got back to the door but can't see how to open it. Also stuck in the priest guild, unsure how to get past the black flame to get to the crypt. I thought I would have to invoke rain on him or something but it didn't work. Getting Kohran to the Mosoleum was exceedling difficult and I'm not sure I did it the right way in the end, does the door to the Mosoleum actually open? I had to get the skeleton past the lightning shooters, but was eventually able to using the movable torches to block the shooters.
