I've used both Boris and Wuuf quite a lot, though I'm soloing with Elija now.

TRANTOR ! Surely you never use fireballs until you find the scroll at the beginning of level 8 ! I thought you were a purist LOL

Purist? Me? I am a truly savage cheater. I used a spell list when I first played the game and still had trouble beating CSB even though I used a walkthrough. I wouldn't do that again today, though, but I was young (12) and intimidated because everybody said that CSB was so damn hard...

Lol, Yes I had a spell list too. And a book of maps I bought at an ATARI show in 1988. Would have had no chance othewise. Still use the map book sometimes. Also got some ST Action magazines with tips/articles on DM & CSB. Needed all the help I could get !

Actually the spell is level 7, right after level 6 and right before level 8(HoC 1) The way you put it, it's HOC 2

Lol, I beleive you are both right, it's on level 7, but placed right by the stairs, so it feels like the start of level 8 : )

I wrote:right before level 8, right after level 6.
