Hello
The beta will be soon open without invitation code, but the reserved access will remain for really interested people that have a few time to help the dev of game.
I got surprised to have really few advice and so many view ??? So I searched other sources of comments.
It seems that they were a bit desapointed by the big graphic change between tiles, and it is because of the AI involved in it.
So I hired a 3d artist to make the structure of the main world that will contain all others : the space ship.
And the result is far better than I thought at first.
In the same time I finished the game story, and prepared big surprises for the future player. Prepare to explore in holo decks a lot of places you know and loved inspired by :
- Rivendell,
- Startreck,
- Vikings,
- monastere
- broceliande forest,
- pirates,
- 1900 victorian casino...
A lot of work, may be no pubic updates. I don't know.
I wish I had more visibility on this board, but to be in the "other" sub/sub/sub folder do not helped.
I wish had a specific one.

Yo!
Ai graphics are improving fast. I had to delete all previous characters, and redid all the tile graphics.
This will delay the final game because it takes a lot of time and ressources, every character rendering is about 60s and the first render isn't the good one, need almost 10 rendering for one acceptable one.
I want the best for this game, so I am on fine tuning everything. The motor is OK, the tiles are Ok about 20 tiles for every set. Let you see this character improving when done

Ah I see

Well, as long as there's an obvious improvement it's totally worth investing the time (in my opinion)

Certainly.
Ai graphics are a new ressource, it has a really new way of scripting with so many parameters !
The very special thing is that when you get an image to work but that has issues, you can draw by hand some stuff, even very badly, and the Ai will correct it and uniform the picture. I encourage everyone to try, it's a game in itself and a good way to loose so much time !

I switched to phone to get more of it and actually being able to start moving around. I am not specialist about computer vs. mobile screen handling and I wonder if some others do have the issue. But that would be nice if you could look more into it, or is there a specific configuration to use ?

Thank you very much, it is now fixed, you can go full screen, but may be you will have to clear your cache to see the full version. This is an issue because i use a 2k monitor

and i did not see it on such big screen.

I had some weird issues with mage.space in generating characters, tiles were fine but characters had spaghetti fingers and too many of its.
Now I use a paid account in leonardo.ai and the fingers are better, the characters real like. I post one below.

Ai is improving fast, so I try to follow with good generations, I will make ennemies with this tool, and my be animate then with it also.

Hello, I'll probably wont come here for a long time.
The game goes commercial, but with a total game engine refont, no more case by case or first person view.
It will turn to a diablo like engine, but with old school mazes and enigmas.
Thank for the (very) few people who followed this, but I need a bigger audience to move on and cast a crew.

Hi, I did test the new tech demo and it works surely better than the first one -- at least for me.
However, while I like what you can produce with AI images, I still think one issue is the lack of consistency between the moves, making sometimes hard to understand the continuity between tiles. I did not found how to attack monster though.
About Diablo, do you mean you are turning it into a isometric 3D ? Probably won't look the same at all.
Anyway, I wish you luck in the pursuit of your work on your game, and please keep us informed.

At this time the recoding in diablo mode is almost done (in less than one month). I think players will get more fun and game makers too. At this point of dev, AI is not compliant enough when it come to follow a model and zoom on it.
It is not really sad to abandon older game engines I made, because without them I certainly not had enough xp to write this new one.
Only 620 lines, and it rocks

Hi Sphenx, the game would have 10 levels, the character is single but will have to wear some skins, one for each level. There will be a space levels (moon), D&D levels, even a starship level where the player will be a starship

. I'm developing in parallel the game engine and the embedded game editor.
For now, the work to do is mainly the 10 levels stuff and adapt the saving and loading of the game and the some special brick gestion.

What about dev ? The game is running at 75fps on 2.6 GHz processors, everything is working as I planned, still 2 special sprites to do : weapon (not difficult) and monster (not so easy) with properties like : moving type, shooting, life points, damage given.
