We actually had a user calledNaughtyMoose a while back, which was recognised straight away! (seriously can't believe that was 6 years ago...).

Another one that might not be remembered outside of Britain (though Jan seems to have a good knowledge of UK TV, so I'll go ahead). As a clue, because if it's obscurity, I will say the character is talking about the death of his childhood dog.
