Don't you hate some ebayers? Sent me the wrong sized goods and refuses to refund? Bastards

Man, if I were selling to you, I'd never do that!
You can try and give them a negative review, but that's just mutually assured destruction time and you become a 'bad communicator' or 'a slug' or something' : (

I just emailed him with few comments. I'll just have to sell said item on, as I do not want to get into the ebay resolution system. This geezer knows this too, as I have 100% feedback and he can damage it. I know where he lives...

Hows your hangover then?! I'm tip-top, watching the cricket!

I once ordered an old game off ebay. The guy said it would take a week to deliver, which was odd because we were both in the UK. One month later, I've completely forgotten about the blasted thing and it comes through the post. The box looked like it had been to hell and back, god knows how many times that game had been delivered to the wrong address, and the feats of endurance displayed by the postmen and women must of been truly legendary.

Im never ordering anything off ebay again.

Yes, there are some bad ebayers about. This what I ordered was a seatpost for my bike, which has to be an exact diameter. He said it was a brand new 28.6mm... when I got it, it was 27.2mm but in a 28.6mm labelled box.
So when i asked for a refund he said, it was sold as seen, 'you saw the pic on ebay!' Yeah right! I can tell a tolerance of 1.4mm on a webcam pic and read the number on the post! What a tosser, it really made me mad.

As far as I am concerned he sent me goods not as stated. If I had ordered a carrot and he was showing a pic of a banana, he might have had point. But I would have asked him 1st.

That's really sad Paul. I am not sure if you can do anything about it apart from giving him negative feedback, which I would do simply because he is so incooperative now. Don't worry that he might give that back to you, most people don't care if you have 100% or 98%, especially since you can always comment his feedback.

So far, I have had about 200 transactions on Ebay as a buyer and a seller and never had any major trouble. Hope it will stay this way.

buyer beware.. isn't that the EBAY motto?

I've been tempted to buy so many times.. and then I see so many items go up and down and so on, the exact same items.. same pictures.. same text even.. but different names.. :P There is a warning for ya already.

Ebay is not responsible and therefore you have no back up.. if you give the money.. there is nothing they can do to make sure you get the good you paid for.

Sometimes, "saving a buck" doesn't save you anything..

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry that happened to you.. but you should always remember that your taking a chance any time you go with an Ebayer. If they have a lot of positive feedback under their name.. so much the less of a risk.

moo :(

Yeah, even when people deliberately flout the rules (for example making up their profiut on delivery, that costs EBay money too) they arent too quick by the sound of it

Think my hang -over was fine. Mmm, it's great to be Scottish in England and have a 2-1 victory over Norway... how did that Ireland match go again...? : )

And yeah, the faces in the office yesterday went longer and longer with the cricket yesterday

Anyway, good luck with fighting the power! Or something

Possibly.

Right then peoples, I think I have mentioned this a couple of years back, and as you all know I like creepy crawlies: I am collecting data on the size of house spiders (tegenaria domestica, gigantea, atrica, saevea etc), otherwise known as the great big long legged hairy buggers that you find running across the floor at this time of years, or stuck in the corners of rooms with their funnel webs sucking moths dry or staring out at you. Basically I would like to know how many you are seeing, location and size (leg span.) Photos would be nice!

Why am I doing this? I don't know.

Well, I think they are becoming more common, and as yet we do not have the aggressive version here in the UK. Oitus...

The larger house spider actually hunts the aggressive version, and keeps them out of properties. They are common in Europe and the US, where they are sometimes mistaken for Recluse Spiders. But yes, if they do ever get here, I guess people will just batter anything that looks big, has legs and moves.

It's going alright, new job seems good, Basingstoke ain't too bad *situated close to lotsa stuff* and house/people are nice - so yeah, not too bad. Ex'girlfriend got married this weeke,d but you can't have everything I guess!

How's about you - how's it going?

I'm doing well, fittest I have been in ages, but still waiting waiting waiting...

Basingstoke used to have a reputation, and was taken the mick out of by many comedians (notably Jasper Carrot), but with his accent I'd have kept my mouth shut!

Maybe your housemates eat the spiders? Glad things are going well. Hey, its a good thing your ex got married! Its me hehe...

Spiders- there are a lot of them here - and some do get quite big!

should be relatively easy to find some "good looking" representatives
of the house spider species and there are smaller but really cool ones, too ...

Basingstoke? Cool, my aunty lives there...me and my sister went to stay with her for a weekend last year.
As for spiders...eww if I see one of those big black fookers I just get my dad or someone to chuck it out the window. Is mean to kill them since they don't do anything to you...
Oh, and Paul..."... guess people will just batter anything that looks big, has legs and moves." - I have two large furry things with legs running around on my legs atm but I wouldn't even think of battering them! Specify arachnids/arthropods at least or people will get the wrong impression and start to beat up their cats/dogs/hamsters/neighbours... ;)
