On the arcade front, as well as seaside hols there were a couple of small arcades in the town centre where i live. I suppose this is probably true of many British towns, but one in particular was a cafe that had around around fifteen cabinets and a pool table. The owner, Ian, was a keen gamer too... so he'd change the games regularly. I got to play lots of coin-ops old and new (at the time).
It's still open and i go in from time to time for breakfast or lunch (and Ian still owns it), though it only has fruit machines now.

@oh_brother... To be honest, i was taking a punt on whether it was 1 or 2. Difficult to tell from a still shot. I didn't find a huge difference in gameplay between KO2 and SWOS. I favoured SWOS for the insane level of detail given to teams and players, and of course it had the real league and cup comps.

Alrighty, been replaying something recently and the thought occurred that it hasn't been mentioned thus far in this game, so here we go...

I remember the music so clearly. Plink Plink Plink Plink! Just watched some of it on Youtube. It's all coming back to me now as a very hard game! The sequel was easier and much better.
