Hi, ive found adamsis pdf file a great support for clearing this dungeon however, i cant seem to solve the boiler room puzzle. i have the sun opal, but with what i know its completly useless as it does seem to be able to redirect fireballs or anything helpfull. can someone give me a hint on what to do?

Thank you for playing Upside-Down, first of the 4 ToC prequels.
Maybe it is the most difficult and frustrating RTC custom dungeon ever created. The pdf is helpful, but this game version is still a lot confused. I have a new version totally renewed, with 2 little training areas and some puzzles rebuilt (i.e. the boiler/sun puzzle). I need a test before release it.
In your version you must throw the opal onto the circle and, standing on the pad in front of it, changing the gravity two times and quickly. In the in-progress version the solution is more logical.

When you made lot of projects is probably to experiment with something new, its very good because you can create something very original, but its better to focus on one project and after finish begin another.
And these peoples, each dungeon will start with this another character, or they are team?

I would be a custom dungeon machine if I built a dungeon each month, at the moment they are only 2

you should make your flooritems colors match better. they are still great but don't really fit together.

I'm playing Upside-Down, so far:
Upsides:
1) The idea is amazing
2) The realization of it is almost flawless
3) The puzzles are interesting
4) The atmosphere is excellent
Downsides: (take with a grain of salt, your dungeon is EXCELLENT)
1) Many insta-death trap without much warning
2) Many rooms / traps that include monster, which are useless to solving them AND are an absolute annoyance, because they impede reflexion in an already dangerous environment
(example: thief, floor-fantom-horrors, "glop"...)
3) On my first try, I had left the power runes away from the magic book, and therefore was stuck in the room (unable to cast)
4) Lack clues
(like Oh Kath, and generally on what to do and where to go)

Thanks Joramun, probably you played the early version. I've uploaded the v3.0, totally reworked. I added a lot of clues, removed monsters, simplified many puzzles, added health points to the character, added a couple of training areas, made the game less chaotic... and more other changes. And now stop working on Upside-Down! I'm getting bored with this game

, I think there are no more changes to do.

I've just read through most of the posts here... and I must say one thing: "Don't go quitting this, Adamski". I'm pretty "on the ball" when it comes to RTC, but you've created something that even made me go "WOW!"

ok, that topic bumped today so i decided to try the final version. I think I have a problem with dungeons with special mechanics and weird riddles. Since Dark Portal (that i never completed) i feel like having no brain, trying to click on everything with anything in hand.. I just managed to kill 3 worms, throwing weapons to a emprisoned priest and... that's it. I'm suely a member of the "don't try to play it again" category, which is very irritating.

The mechanic is up the stairs, hidden in a room (if it's the same lay-out). Do try to get there, as it's still one of the most innotative ideas brilliantly realised I've seen.

This is puzzle seemed arbitrary until I realized that for some reason, you need to
keep the total always BELOW the target to trigger the doors

@Lord_BoNes: don't worry, I won't stop working on the other 3 muni dungeons, I have stopped only Upside-Down. Now I'll focus on Underworld Dreams, it's pretty easy to do.
@Joramun and Beowuuf: the counter puzzle is not bugged, last pad you need to press is the red one close to the number written on the wall.
@Linflas: trying to solve this game could drive you mad, but no more than building it

i managed to open the -4- door... then gave up that place and reached the
priestess room
door : i cannot open it. there's a ladder near that door but i cannot make it go down. also just before, near the
fastest screamer
there's a wooden door with a lever and 3 locks i managed to pick according to noises i hear, but it still closed.

The Empress room
can't be opened, you can only find out what is beyond...
About the other door use the lever
after unlocking the three locks consecutively
, otherwise you must try over again.

i've opened all passages from the pits room except the Sun, solved riddle with numbers (
reached chest with suzerain and empress card
).. i'm stuck in several places :
- empress room (haven't found what to see out there) and cannot open the ladder
- justice riddle, what did i won except the card, did it open some passage ?
- downstairs, i cannot open hyerophan's door (
the room has plenty of red plates
) and there's another door,
devil's passage or something with 2 locks, one has my iron key into it
.
after discovering those excellent puzzles due to that fantastic new mechanic, i feel bored about having to pass everytime some hard speed puzzles.. they should be disabled after having solved them (
especially the one with fireballs behind you and you have to pass 2 pits and turn before the door closes
).

-when you are in front of the Empress room,
use the spell to see through
... you can
activate the ladder at the end of the path of the sun

it didn't, it's just to get the card
-the path of devil needs 3 iron keys,
the other 2 are in the Hierophant area and at the end of the path of the sun
. to access into the former you need the
hierophant's symbol... search it in the high priestess area
-I agree with you about the fireball puzzle, I forgot to disable... but in my opinion it isn't a serious problem because it's quite simple to pass, isn't it

?

I feel like I am playing a different game. I made it to the area with the mana point generator. The scroll near the alcove that states that an alcove may not be a safe place, another that talks about what might happen if you drop something in a pit, and the the barrel might kill you if it falls on your head. I am stuck in that level as soon as I use the grav spell near the barrel. The barrel disappears and the blue field becomes a wall next to the annoying green man. I have inverted every way I can think, but i cannot move beyond this corridor. Help please

You need to kill the green guy. He is standing on a floor-plate. Once he dies the haze disappears. Then you just need to flip gravity the right way, to get passed the barrel.

there is a bug!. try this. From the square next to the mana pad, drop a scroll, or probably anything on the floor next to the spikes. When you
reverse gravity
the item will fall on the pad. When you step on the pad POOF or CRASH. everytime repaeatable. Ther solution is to
reverse gravity first, then put the item on the pad or step on the pad and put an item on the pad
