That last post probably didnt make sense since I got DMPU mixed up with Eye of the Beholder.
I can't get past the portcullis to reach the worms room because I can't jump sideways fast enough
I play from a laptop so I don't have a side numpad

I am stuck at the two levels below the worms.
These two levels work together as in the original DM. Slimers and Couatls. Skeletons and Beholders.
Found a door where I need a ruby key. EDIT I got the key.
Another place is at a deadly fire ball shooter, I managed to get past it, killed a bunch of skeletons. I see stairs throught walls.
From there I cannot go back because of the fireball shooter. EDIT I found the trick to go back.
Any clue or hint ?

Edit the text in this file.

This is the first time I played DM for about 2 years, and I have to say: great stuff so far Paul! I really love the concept and enjoy the execution tremendously so far. I only reached the end of level 3 so far and am not sure if I missed something in the Matrix (didn't find a key there).

One question: I noticed this dungeon uses "CSB rules", meaning the stats get lowered significantly if you reincarnate characters. Once I noticed, I restarted as having a decrease of 5-10 points in each stat seemed a bit harsh to me. Intentional or not?

I now finished level 6 and am slowly exploring level 8. Loving it so far! In level 6, I only found one Vorpal Blade, and the puzzle with the two plates and the pit took me forever to figure out.
I couldn't get to the end of the fireball corridor. Tried luring some beholders to eat up the fireballs, but they are not centered, so one of the fireballs still hits and kills me (that's what you get for using 4 characters so you can't dodge a single fireball...). Is there anything necessary in there?

Hi,

I am now stuck at level 6. Got about 3 iron keys, got thru to the part with "Test your strength", the other stairs up to level 5 and the tele to couatl-area at level 5, got ruby-key, passed the fireball-corridor, then came back from other side to the area with key-puzzles...
so I am going in circle, and cannot find any way to go down...
In original DM it was near the room with speed-bow and chest. I found similar area in DMPU - but no way down...

I event went all around to find a torch, since there was one empty torch-place on the wall - no effect...

Ok, sorry, finally I found it. It is sometimes useful to look for the solutions in the same place (coordinates) like in the original game1

In the "Ghost-Skeletons Arena" there is a room with 4 doors and a scroll saying "Imprison your enemy".
I locked up there a thief, but nothing happened... Is this a riddle or just a joke?

I have been playing this over the past few days. I'm quite impressed, I made a dungeon called DMPlus in DMute about 20 years ago that was an alternative to DM but it certainly wasn't as challenging as this.

Does anyone know how I find the boat? There are two locked doors in this area that I haven't found keys for so I am guessing it is behind one or the other.

I tried with another monster (more easy to capture) and when in the jail, a pit closed which give access to fire throwers ...

Have you been to the corridor starting south-east, with some skeletons and some very strong mummies at the end? I am not sure, but maybe somewhere there, check the bottom properly.
