Yeah, you are right, Saumun. It was an excellent game, very unfairly forgotten and overshadowed by its slightly younger "sister". I've never heard of your game, will have to check it on the internet.

Right, so now something very very simple:

Aaaarrgh... For some reason, the name of this just won't come to me. It's on the tip of my tongue!
Spoiler
Another World
is definitely worth a look. I played it on the Amiga, but it was available on other platforms too. It's a very good game... My only complaint being that it's quite short, and a little on the easy side.

It just came to me...

This should keep you occupied for the rest of the day. :)

I don't know your one, again. I've certainly not played it. :(

Pretty sure that is
Spoiler
Aladdin
.

Mine is from a late 80s coin-op game that made it onto home computers (the screenshot is from the coin-op version)

Another world, didn't play that one, don't rec Jan's either. Kid's and I loved playing Prince of Persia together.

what about this
Image Image

The movement in this game I believe can be duplicated with RTC info screens up to 7 buttons which is not much more than movement only. Using the teleport to location an infinite number of buttons can be used. Much of what is done here can be done with RTC if one has the graphics and the patients. Like the tester Town Banville, there can be a lot of creativity, it be just the tip of outside the box. Lots of ideas are swirling here. Imagine a cross over of games 8) :?:

I think there's only CS' pic and Ameena's quote still live (don't know either of them), so i'll try another...

Anyone remember this?

Bah, logged on too late to guess
Spoiler
Prince of Persia
or
Spoiler
Aladdin
, both of which I guessed instantly :D. Didn't know any of th rest. My quotes were from
Spoiler
Diablo II (the first quote was Diablo himself when he first appears for you to fight at the end of the game, the second is by Deckard Cain and is probably the best-known quote from the game)
.
Now then, Saumun's reminds me of a game we had the demo for back on the Atari and which I played a few times...something about the colour scheme and that weird...large-faced...bad guy...thingy, so I'm gonna guess
Spoiler
Harlequin
. But it was a very long time ago so I could easily be totally wrong :D.

Harlequin
, so i'll try another:

Sim City, fall asleep and wake up to it on fire everywhere, lol. I remember those days.

No clue with your last one Saumun.

My last one is a coin-op game, and i think it only ever made it onto one of the Sega consoles... so it might be a little obscure unless you were in the arcades a lot.

You are right, Saumun and CS.

Aaah....
Spoiler
Elvira
. Not sure of the full title. Never played it, but i remember it's release.

Jan's is
Spoiler
Way Out
. I never actually owned it myself. A friend's older brother had an Atari 8-bit (can't remember the exact model... think it was the 800) and had this game.

CS' latest is definitely one of the

games, but i'm not sure which. Most of what i remember about the first one is mountain roads, so i'll have a punt at
Spoiler
Test Drive 2
.

A full screenshot of my game before i reveal...

Dammit... Don't know! I was on a roll for a while.
My first instinct was

International Karate
, because of the mountain... but i'm pretty sure it's not that because i don't remember a blue guy in it.

Ha! Gotcha! Close, but not close enough! You're not right this time, mate! :) It's its successor, the
Spoiler
Capture the Flag
. But, hey, it was rather difficult, wasn't it, so I give you the credits. :) I ran it on my 800 XL, it was rather a beast, actually, handling a split-screen first-person real-time 3D! Remarkable when you think about it.

And one for good night:

Aww, don't know any of these. Not sure I can be arsed messing around with images to try and upload one of my own so I'll probably just stick to quotes once I think of another one.

Nobody knows? It's a shame! I specifically chose that image because anyone who has played this game should know it, it's from one of the most dangerous places in the game. Right, so this was
Spoiler
The Neverending Story
. The game was trash, really, but it has a special place in my heart because it was the first adventure game I have ever played. I was about 7 or 8 years old and my English only consisted of a few words that enabled me to run the Atari and play action games, but certainly not adventures. But I had a Czech version of this game (not a very good one, with the various special "hooks" and "commas" over Czech letters missing) but still I was thrilled by it, and my passion for adventure games was born.
