The problem is that I can't fix something doesn't occur when I test the game. I should use a slower PC to discover the cause of these slowdowns

Thanks for the update Adamski. I will avoid reading the spoilers, the surprise is worth it. not stuck yet.
Managed to catch up some, can't find the beast in the sleepy forest, not sure what it is. I am upset that you took away the ability to cast strength potion. Forcing me to be a mage, damn. Some things to note, casting see through walls crashes when in the dream state when meditating. There are some places where important objects can be lost behind monsters\objects, can't retrieve them.
This dungeon is a dewsy, it's like Christmas, thanks Adamski.

The beast is Helga's son Magnus. You met him sleeping in the foggy area.
Don't worry about him for now.
I am upset that you took away the ability to cast strength potion
I removed strenght, dexterity and wisdom potions because they unbalance the game. If you drink a lot of KU potions your strenght increase so much that you can kill tough monsters with few hits. Anyway I created the
"hero potion", you can make it using some flowers. They are limited.
Anyway I put in the game new weapons that increase your strenght or dexterity

No, the game freezes. Probably too much sleep clouds are created and the game crashes. I must think a way to fix this problem...

at work even the savegames that were before that room were slow all of a sudden, but i ll look into it tomorrow at work and send u what i got, thx for the info.

No Antraxus, thank to you I found a new critical issue, it's a RTC bug. Other players could run into this problem, I must find a solution quickly.
At the moment I have only a solution: before entering that room you MUST have a lantern.
Put it in the alcove and the door will open. Going through the door the sleep bolts will stop. The challenge is to bring a lantern in the room passing through the sleepy hollow.

Adamski...
I know you have a more pressing issue at the moment (judging by the last few posts), but further to CS’ post, I came up with a workaround a couple of years back to make stats that are boosted by potions degrade at whatever speed you like.
It’s good for keeping potions in the game, but not spoiling it by making characters almost permanently powerful.
Depending on the number of playable characters you have, it might not be worth it... but if you’re interested, I linked a file to this thread.

About the strength. I totally understand, but isn't it possible to set the damage done by weapons on monsters. I feel ripped off

i forwarded a few and get the 3 ra-key from sleepy hallow. I finished the sleepy challenge, but to continue forwarding i need another lantern. The problem is have only the first lantern :_(.
What i missed ?

Thank you Saumun, your idea is ingenious

Unfortunately I can't add more objects to UD because it's very near the object limit. And the same is about the object types, so I can't create new cloned objects because there would be crashes loading a savegame (I personally tested it)
Chaos-Shaman, I'm sorry. Would you rather I put back the strenght-dexterity potions in next version? Just know that soon I'll release the 1.2 version to fix the problem found by Antraxus.
About you, Antraxus, I tested again that room and the game doesn't crash. It happens only in your savegame. What could have happened?

Anyway, I want to change something in the room to prevent possible problems.
Jahmiann, how many RA keys have you used?

Chaos, it can be finished, I finished it a lot of times. However I wasn't able to test any possible event. Antraxus found a problem in the old tree that has never happened to me. It depends on what you do. The rule should be having a lot of savegames so that you can remedy.

Quick question about this problem.
I haven’t reached where antraxus is, so it’s just a punt.... but I know from an old dungeon that excessive lighting through multiple ‘live’ spells will cause a slow down & crash in RTC.
Is there anywhere this could be happening?
Unlikely though, because it would take A LOT of them.

Ok Jahmiann. Did you open the door near the rotating alcove? If not,
you should have the lantern. Don't use it with the first door. Keep the first door closed and enter the sleepy hollow through the door you opened with the Ra key. So use the rope to go back to the area near the rotating alcove.

That's good to hear. I am trying to find that old tree where Furion was at the swamp. Can I find it with the magic map. Gone through it a few times. There are spells I know that I can't cast yet. Found the scroll with the spell on them but not able to use them yet.

Saumun, I don't know what is exactly the cause of crashes. The weird thing is that the spell holes are only 4. They shoot spells again and again with a delay set on 12.

Important message for all the players (ver. 1.0 and ver. 1.1): to prevent freezes, when you enter the "sleepiness hall" in the old tree, you MUST bring a lantern (you will understand its purpose). This issue will be fixed in version 1.2.

Ahh, damn, can't remember where I left the scroll, I can see it for the other scroll though, didn't think to read it, just wrote the spell down and tried to cast it. Now I can make that wall.

Hi adamski, i sent u another save game.
ist seems to be the spot where it all starts.
btw i doubt that opening the door and stopping the bolts will make it run normal again since the lvl of slowness seems to be conserved afterwards.
or did u mean that by mentioning earlier that its an rtc bug?

Antraxus, I tested your savegame. The problem is the hole that casts the sleep spell outside the door. You blocked it with an amber wall, and that's fine.
Check the wall next to the hole: you'll be able to stop the spell. Once you do, go back to the area with a lot of ropes. Explore that area and find a different way to reach the area before the rotating alcove (without opening the door next to it)
