Don't worry, he already had for the 'prisoner' idea.

Hmm, you have chosen an interesting path... let's see where it will lead tomorrow :D

Just got a chance to read the posts now, had to laugh at all the goings on!

Lol, thanks for passing that hot potato on! But those rolls were impressive, cant believe we got a flask from the soldiers back pack to Westians' via Helm and Haynuus

Another post that made me laugh, I should have thought of that! I was worried about digging an even bigger hole for myself though. And how was I to know that the nasty, horrible men with skull armour and bad moods were evil?

Actually, the soldiers have the flask in a belt pouch, hence the initial stealing! Everything else is pure luck overriding common sense for the sake of the humour :D

Anyway, given the fact the thief just tried to give you a flask at personal risk, like I said one door might close but you open another one. I'm never going to punish you for a decision. They all lead to bad things happening already!

Cool, good enough to know that it was no natural noise - it was some form of magical discharge. Not an explosion, just a discharge.

For your moving forward plan, a few more details? Do you suggets Farel still pretend to be wrapped up or should he go out sword out now? Will you leave the torchs in the sconces and rely on the light up ahead, or take them with you? Will you move slowly to keep noise down, or try to get to the area of the noise faster?

Roll me a stealth check please (Dexterity if you havent' the skill, and you take a -6 penalty for the armour I'm afraid)

I'm not going with stealth, lets just lead him in (I am a "blackskull" after all).

Good, I worried I hadn't caught you in time... you have the benfit of player knowledge the other group don't have (ie you know their characters, they don't know yours) but that's one of the fun things about playing character knowledge not player knowledge.

At some point I'll tell you you can post in the mean thread. Right after that I'll merge your thread with the other ones since I believe they are obvious which applies to which!

Should be by the end of the week, if not sooner :)

Ok, so far it sounds like Falkor will dive right in first, and Westian will hang back to be one of the last.

Ian and Ameena - remember to state your preference for position, it might be relevant...

I'm afraid so, pressures of the job! :)

I'm glad that *fingers crossed* my projected timescale might be cut short, and you get to join the rest of the party sooner instead of later. Despite the outpourings of plot, you've all still got a lot more plot to uncover and deal with. Definitely be fun to see how you all deal with it, pious paladin with concerns for a missing brother included!

Anyway, Ameena will post late due to RL D&D gaming, so your next update won't be until tomorrow for you I'm afriad. I'm trying to sync up the timescale now, though I might take risks and assume some actions on both sides to hopefully smoothly integrate everyone.

Alright, alright, give me a chance, I've just got home ;).
Anyway, with regards to the keeping track of where we are, Ameena hasn't thought of it, isn't worried about getting lost, and won't need to be - if they do for some reason decide to backtrack all that way, unless something really strong-smelling has passed over their route since they first did, she'll just be able to follow the obvious scent trail back :). The mixture of scents caused by her group should be easily detectable among those of the soldiers. I'm guessing that none of the rest of the group will have thought of this, but I'm sure they can be excused on the grounds of not generally using their noses for navigation ;).
Meanwhile, I'll go make an IC post...

Lol, that's because it hasn't blown up in your face yet. I love being the DM and knowing everything that's going on, and exactly what is going to throw things up in the air, with how much force!

Considering the only two girls in the dungeon so encounters are a ghost and a murafu, I'll just be moving qickly away from this conversation and hope that rule 34 serves you well.

Lol, sneaky players. I was just waiting for money's update, then I was going to update both threads.

However, money wishes to have Falkor attack and has asked the players' opinions. So as fun as it would have been surprising everyone fully on both sides, I think I can let you off the hook and you should join in with the others. For one thing, Haynuus just said something really funny and I've been having to bite my lip not to say anything in reply.

I think it's time for you to go over to the OOC thread and introduce yourself, and weigh in on the viability of the plan. I think you can also state who you are playing.

Ah well, it's funny to imagine all he things that could have been, but just as fun tolet them play out how they will actually play out!

I'm about to log off for the night, but given your update I think the better plan is to cast a fireball at the three guards in the room right now - if Haynuus/Ameena can get mine and Westians back ready for when the others come through and get a surprise attack on them ASAP and then I would assume Westian and Falkor would get another attack in on the guards in this room - as i'm sure this would have come as a surprise and they would be wondering what just happened? Or at least roll for initiative...

but alas, as much as i really want to open a can of wopass - I feel that democracy is important here... All those in favor of lighting up this dungeon???

Sooo back to the non-girly thing.
Money's idea is an interesting one. It sounds like a good idea if we can get all back through the blue haze again. Even if it means that Haynuus stands for a second and takes a little fire damage to stop or aid those attempting to get through the haze while allies set up a defence.

Just to let all the players know something only Haynuus perceived, your thief friend is either skillful or lucky - not only has he got the dagger Haynuus snuck to him, but the thief has unbound himself - so he is actually ready to join in an attack, if that is his inclination...

Meanwhile, as mentioned in the IC thread, I've asked the new player to make their introductions now...jsut so you know just how freakin' tactically sweet this set up could be if you wish to spring an attack. I am completely unbiased here, but if I were a player I'd say go for it :D

However, no matter all the information you have as players, take a moment to think about it as characters too. Then again, I think you've all voices IC about attacking. Anyway, no further update tonight, will do the major update tomorrow once you've all thought stuff through. cna even stretch it for a day, since if a battle is about to start, you maybe need some time to think tactics...and I need to draw another map :D

Double posted with Ian!

Right this second in game time, you have Drommal and the two lesser soldiers on the other side. Either Falkor fires randomly at them, then you all crowd through, or Falkor fires into this room and you all fly through.

Numbers wise, you seem pretty good for the first few rounds. The one disadvantage you have is that all your opponents are wearing pretty good armour, and many of you have none. So Falkor's fireballs, and concentrating those, might sway the battle in the first few rounds.
