Oh and I forgot to mention in response to your other point - no, my boys didn't get scared. They were asleep most of the (and we were travelling for about nine hours lol), the lazy gits ;).

Still having nasty problems with my computer and internet. I'm not dead! If anyone has a spare USB modem and drivers, please send it to me hehe.

I have a sort of 1 in 100 chance of getting online. Can stay on for more than 5 mins if I disable all graphics, anims, etc etc. Going for a wonder down to the shop and enquire about USB hubs tomorrow. The format of the HD has removed some of the odd quirks I was getting!

Er, I also destroyed the mouse with a well placed punch which didn't help!

BTW, I take it my avatar is still the frosty snail?! I can't actually see it (see above) or change it (see above) so if some kind soul could take pity and change me into my spring suit...

Oh did I mention I live practically next door to the Arctic Monkeys?! They drink in my local!

Its my magnetic shell! Does look like it has been somewhat quiet lately judging by the posts. Rest assured I'll be up to speed soon when I drive Chaos out of my computer. Plenty of fuses inside the thing.

I might change into a frog as I croak that often.

Lack of sleep is not good Mr Beo! I got into flashchat for about 5 mins then it went a bit wonky. Anything that makes the computer use resources more than a wristwatch does sends it spiralling into oblivion.

Does anybody know how much snot it is humanly possible to produce? I think I must have a teleporter to another world lodged in my nasal cavity. Its going to have to be the old 'sleep with a kleenex up each nostril trick' or I'll drown in my sleep!

I hate colds.

WB Paul !!!!!!!!!!
I don`t know what`s with your machine (my weak english and computer stuff-ignorance are responsible), but that would be a disaster if you loose your work on your custom dungeon by a computer/HD crash/burn!!!!!!! :x you better save all your work on some gold-made CD or something.....

I burned mine work for any case, cause my machine is I think from early 60`s and behaves strange sometimes...

If it's only little files (ie not .bmps and music files and stuff), you can just e-mail 'em to yourself and leave 'em in your inbox for re-uploading if your computer fooks ;).

If you're meaning Gambit's eye, I think it looks pretty cool. I've been wondering if it's something drawn by him or someone he knows, or if it's from a dragon (or similar) on a book cover or something, and if so, which book/picture...

http://www.inkjetart.com/forum/login_se ... start=6100

look there... I did a search and found them to be running illegal perl scripts.

at least we're not alone :P

which also begs the question.. how do they block them? since they also use PHPBB..

For all newbies, THAT's where a quote can come in handy : )

It wouldn't kill all the spam we get, but it would take out a nice percentage

I said:
we could give a posts about our flashchat presence - for example: "today I`m waiting on the flaschat till 01:00" or "I`ll be there for 30 minutes [from a message time of course]". If someone is interested in talk, he could then pop in to the flashchat with certainty that it`s not empty.
ok, so I`m first, let`s see if it works: I`m waiting on flash till 21

Sorry to keep babbling on about my cursed computer, but yet again I seek a little advice from you knowledgable peoples!

I am almost certain my disconnection problems are due to my modem drawing more than the nominal 500mA current from the USB port causing it to crash. A fairly common problem with this modem it seems. So a powered hub is the way forward I think. What does this look like and how do I fit it? Do I just plug the new device into an existing USB port, and then the modem? Or is it an internal fix?
