RTC DM: Key(s) for 'scorpion' level

Stuck again - on 'rat' level and ready to try the horrendous 'scorpion' level. I always regarded this as the hardest level in the game when I played DM all those years ago. Where is the key, or is it 2 keys, to open the door(s) near the start? I think I've cleared out the rat level but may not have gone into every nook and cranny.

As you mignt have noticed , grey keys are harder to see in RTC on the floor
There is a key in between the two locks. Afterwards, depending on which door you take, the same key can be obtained from a beholder or skeleton (check the ground carefully where they die) which you can use to progress, or try out the other door
Secret of the scorpion level - there are three sections at the end, each with a double door. Rush forward to close off these doors to start with in the first section, clear out/investigate the area, then you can safely go on, pulling back here (closing the door on a monster) if needed until you reach the next doors, which you shouldn't go through until you have cleared that middle section

Thanks. I just about remember the tactic you mention but it's the bit just before with the gigglers (little bastards) that is so frustrating. Another impression I get with this new version is that grey keys are even harder to see than in the original - or are my poor old eyes failing me? Any excuse!
Thanks for your continuing help - I suspect I'll be back!

It's actually easier to spot those keys (if you are looking for them) a step back from the tile they are on - and yup, i meant it's much harder to see those keys in RTC than DM
As for gigglers - load up on des ven spells, and watch out for the tile that is the junction between the corridor and that small room with the armour...it is a generator trigger for them (so is the tiule infront of the cross switch)
