Windowed mode

Forgive me, guys, it's possible this has been asked and answered but I haven't seen anything along these lines in the forums or helpfiles.

Would it be possible to set RTC up to run in 'windowed mode'? I have a very large monitor set to a fairly high resolution, and it drives me bats to have RTC taking up the entire screen. The graphics aren't all bad, but they're not terribly pretty either.

Running RTC in a smaller 'window' that would allow the user to see the rest of the desktop would, I think, work well and allow multitasking-addicted players (moi) to pause and do other things mid-game.

I think you can if you go into the config file and change it.. or you could at one time.. (pauses to go look)..

hmmm.. don't see it anymore.. just a screen size.. weird.. well, from what I remember there were comments from before stating that it would be rather slow and unstable while in windowed mode for some people and so I imagine it may have cause George to remove the option all together.

George hasn't taken it out, he just hasn't advertised it - i've never had any problems with it : )

you use:

FULLSCREEN NO

(tab between the two, obviously) anywhere in the config file

Hope this is a timely enough relpy!

lol, those are the only two i add, i don't think there are others
only george knows that for sure ....

Oh, to kill two posts with one reply, apologies for not realising how you were mailing, i htink you'd semi-refered to it somewhere else before!
I'd still say finding an internet cafe would be a way to go - not only can you upload your dungeon ,you could also easily download all the original DM dmuted/dmbuilt dungeons (they are all small, around 50kb each i think)
Probably only cost you an hour of time : )

Hmm, I just tried to use windowed mode for the first time and inserted FULLSCREEN NO in the config.txt of V 0.24 and reloaded my game, but it's still fullscreen. So what's wrong?

Hmm, don't know - the gap between 'fullscreen' and 'no' is tab-delimited, yes?
It works for me still under 0.24
