question about DMute

George, I've tried editing some of dungeons posted at the DM encyclopedia website and then exporting them to RTC. Usually, RTC and run the exported file because there are just too many critical errors - and that's after editing the starting position of dungeon and removing all mirrors in the "hall of champions" section of each dungeon. So far, I have not been able to create any dungeon for RTC that was exported from DMute; I've resorted back to text editing.
One thing I've noticed on some of dungeons opened in DMute from that website is that some of them have two "monsters" that I've never seen in the modules provided with RTC download - they are "lord Order" and "Grey Lord" - and they actually show up in DMute as tiny icons in the corner when the mouse is moved over them on the map.
Does RTC support these twy guys? Can I have a party fight Lord Order? or the grey lord?
lord order ?

who the heck is lord Order ?
no idea
the grey lord is a real hoot to put into your game though
he just stands there, doesn't move or fight, zilch, just smiles
you've "resorted back" to text editing ?
how is what you're doing "better" than text editing anyway ?
I've been dungeon editing using the notepad system for a few weeks and it's SOLID
why edit any other way ?

Librasulus (order) is the alter ego of Lord Chaos
I don't know why, but the programmers didn't just leave him as a static figure, as they did with the grey lord...'Order' has the ability to teleport, and fire fireballs.
Of course, since both he and the grey lord aren't fully coded into the game, then they have no death conditions - hence indestructable!
Editing with DMute is faster, but you have the debugging issue at the end
Its better to alter the final text files after DMuting though, NOT altering the dungeon in DMute to suit
This si still early days, the first release of a DMute version able to covert - i think the fact it can do it at all is fantastic! : )

Hmmm, but in regard to future dungeons it would make sense to fully code all 3 Lords into RTC.

You can met Lord Order if you return to the dungeon entrance with the ungemmed Firestaff...I tihnk if you cast See Through Walls on the door, you see him and he says something like "What a shame you did not discover the true nature of the Firestaff...however, as I have it I no longer have need for you.". Then he lobs uber FIreballs at you. The end. I've never done this myself but I've read it.
As for the Grey Lord, he just appears when you Fuse Lord Chaos in the Fluxcage and says how amazing you are

Yes, its better to do than to read, I remmeebr going 'woah!' when i fought the entire dungeon to get to the firestaff just for the stupid reason of wanderign what would happen if i took back the unmodified staff liek you are 'supposed' to
Interestingly, its not the monster lord order you meet, just a very ornate fireball launcher : )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Lord Librasulus was the name of the lord before he got unmerged...then he split into Lords Chaos and Order, forming the Grey Lord when you Fuse the two...I remember reading that somewhere, think in the Encyclopaedia, in a section called "Story" or something.
I just finished DMO again, and I thought it was quite amusing that just as I Fused him, he lobbed a Fireball, but it stayed "hovering" in the right of the screen as the whole Fuse thing and Grey Lord talking went ahead...he did'nt seem to notice this massive Fireball floating in the air hehe

Nope,.he was the Grey Lord before he became split : )
After the split, there was Lord Chaos, and the spirit that was left claimed he was still the grey lord, but had decided to call himself 'librasulus' which meant 'bringer of order'
a very ornate fireball launcher

too true, no search of "monster_lord_order" will succeed but try "wallitem_outside" instead and a slick graphic shows the lord himself standing "outside" the dungeon entrance
