Init.txt ignored, but not ignored (0.11)

Does the settings in the Init.txt have any effect on your RTCs'? I changed the difficulty setting to 15, and the extra_difficulty to 5, but nothing had changed when I entered the dungeon. Still there was only one mummy waiting for me downstairs.
I almost thought that the init.txt is totally ignored, but when I renamed it, the RTC crashed whenever I tried to run it.

The 15 setting should give you gittery mummies, severe (like 70 - 100) damage, and stamina loss with every footstep
The 5 extra setting gives about 5 - 6 mummies downstairs
So although it does sound like soething is up, I don't know with what (since I got this when I tried it just now). Have you got any ; accidentally slipping in to your settings? Did you put spaces between the property and number rather than use tab?

As far as I remember, I have only altered the original values, not added anything extra.
However, the tab in Ms-Dos Edit is not a tab, but 8 spaces... I hope that's not problem!?

Yup, i think the spaces could be the problem then...why DOS edit rather than notepad?
