About the override feature

I tried to use some of Drake's new bmp...

George, in the Bitmaps.txt,
there's no entry for:
1. characters' portraits
2. interface icons
3. walls.

I guess 2 is because all the icons are on a single bitmap?
You already told us 3 was difficult to change, put will you try anyway or not?
(just asking!)

Also, when an error occurs reading the bitmaps.txt,
there is an error message, but no mouse pointer. Beside, a second,
system window appears on the desktop with the same message.
Anyhow, RTC keeps loading but never ends it.
The only way is to CtrlAltDel.
Maybe a log would be more useful, this way all errors would be notified
in only one process.

Drake, there are several problems with your bitmaps (beside the naming)
As it, they're not ready to be used with RTC.
Do you need a feedback at this moment?

Actually all of the cases that you mention are covered by the same deal; namely that they're all separate images on a larger bitmap.

Point taken about the logging of errors though...

size issues

there are still some size issues with some of the graphics so you can't just insert them some of them require you input the correct values. This is why I provided a working bitmaps.txt with the ones that have been done so far. It works on my computer but it doesn't allow for ALL the BMP's to be displayed yet.

as always though you can give any feedback at any time.

Where's the bitmaps.txt?
Anyway I changed the dimensions in the bitmaps.txt to allow RTc to load everything.
But the offsets are to be changed also (for example for the moss or slime in wallobjects), I don't know how to do it systematicly - I don't want to start a neverending try and error-.
Yes, the size is also an issue, for example for the fountain front and side, they don't match.
Also, most of your graphics have green and purple pixels on the borders. Example: the fountain.
I'll post this on your forum too.

ah ha!

so it was you.. I just answered your post in my forum.. you can find Bitmaps.txt in my download section. There have been updates of some of the files there too so it depends when you first got the bitmaps you have..
