Now that the DM2 ripper is out and about the graphics are available. Is anyone planning on doing an RTC version of it? I know that some new code will need to be added but that can't be determined untill someone tries to make this dungeon set.

Sphenx has been on the cusp of gettign full DM2 dungeon editing on his editor...once thta's released and we know the triggering background objects a little better, then we can possibly ask nicely for certain objects to be added to RTC....

Now to get the DM2 Functionality into RTC would absolutley ROCK!!! With the shop keeps and the money system and the specialist puzzles (like those cog puzzles and all that).
Ooh, making me giddy just thinking about it.
George, if you are going to attempt this and there is anything I can do to help you out. Please feel free to give me a shout.
Do you have a link to the DM2 Ripper?

The post discussing it is in the Encyclopedia:

The actual file is in one of the posts towards the bottom:

Yes, to have RTC Skulkeep would be unbelievable great!!! But I suppose, that would be a LOT of work to do for George. So maybe this can be thought of when RTC V 1.0 has finished?

Is there anywhere that I can download DM2. I would love to replay it. I have no idea what happened to my CD of it all that time ago. Might be kicking around somewhere...

*shakes head solemnly* best not to use the phrase abandomware anyway, since its not a legal term, but it certainly doesn't applies to DM - all the downloads are still illegal, just we appear to be operating under a sort of 'known about but tolerated because its not worht the hassle and we aren't doing harm' flag (right?)
If you follow the encyclopaedia link above then you will find links on the pages to DM2 downloads - at worst the links are also posted in the DM2 and general forums i believe

Will edit post so as not to offend, looks like the files arent at the ency anymore due to space problems.
never mind,
thanks beowuuf

Umm, unless this is a very recent posting at the encyclopaedia then ignore - the files were moved, but have now been moved back as mirrors and space became available
I'll hunt out the links later if you can't find them, np
Dont' worry about offence, just as i said best not to think of it in terms of 'abandonware'

I once removed the DMII download from the site, but it is available again.
I still have to update the page though...
Look this thread:

For those interested and who did not notice, Theron's Quest and Dungeon Master Nexus are also back online (on their respective downloads page).

I'm making a new version of DMII. It's not a dungeon editor though, more like a DMIII. I'm using most of the stuff from Dungeon Master, but it will be more outdoor oriented, bigger, and have more stuff. It's called Sar Master. The DM Ripper will help he a lot with graphics.

Flicker is due to winXP, or I have my video card acceleration up to high. 1 is fixable the other isn't

I really hate it when I do this... Hey Moo, Would it be possible to disable guest posting? It would force login for 1 and the other thing is I would stop posting under guest... grrr

some people like to remain annonymous to the group and some people simply do not trust registration systems that require giving thier email.
I'd rather not disable it.. it poses no threat to me since all IP's are logged anyway and it affords people a sense of comfort.
