how to?
i want a friend of mine having play my dungeons (hes just finishing DM and getting addicted), but i have no clue if and how i can convert
anyone firm in this?

ChristopheF wrote some utitlites for converting dungeons from one format to another, but I can't remember off the top of my head what the limitations are (if any).

If you like, send me your dungeon, and I'll try and convert it for you.

The convert script that is provided in the Encyclopedia forum actually works very nicely for most dungeons converting them from Big-Endian to Little-Endian (either DM for PC or CSBWin) with very simple command lines. You can find the scripts in the "Miscellaneous" section I think.

afair there is a bug in my dungeon with a cloned item, so maybe its better someone with a clue of that (unlike me) can convert it

My converter should work for this dungeon.

The main limitation is that it only converts dungeon files, not saved game files (some custom dungeons were released as saved game).

The Converter worked fine for me, but i got an error: "duplicated object". how can i find and remove this object?

That'll be your cloned item bug that's messing up the converter. I don't know anything about cloning, so Beowuuf is your best bet for that, or perhaps Zyx or Paul Stevens over on the Encyclopedia forums?

I tried the conversion myself, and when opening the resulting dungeon in CSBuild it showed that the problem was indeed a cloned object on 7 (07,08). It seems to be an actuator - you can change that in either CSBuild or DMBuild. But Paul Stevens might provide a more accurate description for the error code you mentioned when starting CSBwin.
