Death row

Anyone ever worked how to get into "Death row" in the Ros section just before the scorpions and fireballs? I know it's not esaential but i'd like to get in there for completeness, cheers

When you enter the ROS path on the DDD, you enter a zoooom type passageway. If you exit the pathway on the northwestern side, there is a longish passageway ending in a door with a gold lock. You can open this normally with a key (iron I think), but if you use lockpicks a pit trap opens beneath you and drops you in Death Row. That's the only way in....
