And what about Crystal Dragon?

It was a game released on amiga; a really good one, with a unique athmosphere and original 'details' who make the whole thing really interesting to play!
Best of it, they ripped the DM sound when your guys drink on a fountain (the gulp!) :)

It was a great game. It's been so long. Looks like nobody really cares about the game judging by the start and end date of this thread. I liked the mapping that was used.

Great game indeed. I've never had a chance to finish it tho.
I'm surely going to play it again on WinUae or on my Wii

You can play this on your wii? I have it if you are looking for it.

I do have the Adf taken from my floppyes, thanx.
I also have Uae4Wii installed on my wii, too bad the sound emulation is buggy as is the mouse one (movement becomes jerky near the right edge of the screen)
and that it seems the developer abbandoned the port.

Dungeon Master runs nicely but I want to have a stable and finished port to start playing seriously (maybe an emulator that supports HDF files, that would be perfect for playing Crystal Dragon, Black Crypt and the two Eye of the Beholder games ).

Btw: one of the things that made me like this game was the fact they tried to stick with realism as FTL did when making DM.
One nice example were rats. Yes, normal rats. Difficult to catch, but once you did you had 3 options:
-Throw it against a wall thus killing it
- Put it in your bag
- Eat it (and possibly getting a disease)

The interesting thing of putting it in your bag was that the rat wandered through it eating your own food slowly becoming a Fat Rat!
The useful thing about this was that a rat ate also spoiled food so if you kept spoiled food and a rat in the same bag and waited enough you
had a Fat Rat that if eaten had less possibilities than spoiled food to make you sick!

IMHO these are the details that make a game a great one! And Crystal Dragon manages to be one of the best DM clones ever.

hmm. probably I should!
But amazingly I do not have Windows to play it on, and I guess there is no emulator under linux
to run it. I have a ibook , too ,but emulation is not supported due to achitecture.

Oh well. But you could, if you like- tell some more things about the game. oh wait, maybe you spoil too much... ;)

The game was relased on Amiga, and AFAIK the Amiga emulator called Uae exists for both Linux and Mac.

As you can see the GFX was nothing compared to Dungen Master or Black Crypt, but the game was great indeed.

Well you'll have to give it another go and finish the game. I loved every second. I never noticed those rats because i threw them against the wall. I'm going to use a few skull pillars in RTC.

I used winuae to run this game but i cant skip intro, there is message press enter, but i press everything without result. It must be something wrong with configuration keyboard/mouse port (but i tryed every possible) Or reason is with use wrong version of emulator. Can tell me someone how exacly you run this game (which emulator, its version, how configure)

I run it perfectly under WinUae.

If your keyboard is not responding correctly then maybe you've some Joystick emulation settings that override Keyboard (One of them has 'Enter' for fire button if I recall correctly). So try disabling Keyboard to Joystick mapping and enjoy your longish intro skipping.

PS: Thinking better... I'm writing all this by memory... since I've tried it on my emulator just once and I can't recall exactly how I did skip the intro if I ever skipped it....

EDIT: Be sure to play it with WinUae > 1.4.3 We are right now at version 1.6.0 and I strongly recommend to use it as it has lots of improvements against previous ones.
