Installing to Windows ME

El Traje! I could not install DM onto my computer. I have windows ME. I unzipped the files into my temp drive and double clicked the Install icon, but it brings up a menu asking me to select a drive. No letter seems to work. When I try C it sais "cannot use this drive", A: not enough space, etc. Am I doing something wrong? Does the PC Version only work on older PC's?
Is there an alternative programme made for newer computers?
I would appreciate any help,
Brad

Win ME doesn't have true DOS support, and DM is an old DOS game, so you answered your own question...
Yes, there is a more up-to-date version of DM, but it's still in the development stages. It's called Return to Chaos and you can test the latest version by downloading from here:
http://www.mrao.cam.ac.uk/~gg215/dm/RTC.html
There is also DM Java, but you need to install Java to run it, and it's not really that much like the old DM:

Thanks mate. Bugger, eh? I get a state of the art machine and I can't even play a game that's 15 years old!

You use it to open the final door on the 'chamber of the guardian' room. It also is the answer for the riddle "I am all - I am none" A mirror is a reflection of everything that looks in it(all) but it is merely an image so is nothing (none).
Simple!
um if you downloaded the version..

from this site you dont need to install it. just run it from the directory you unzipped to. also if you have me you need to download a patch for it that lets you boot in dos mode(not sure what site its on) or just make a dos boot disk and boot from that. you can play in a dos prompt but im not sure if your sound will work. also if you boot in dos make sure you have sound blaster emulation turned on.
