Dungeon Master actions detailed

I found an interesting web page on a Japanese web site. It details all the actions you can perform (jab, war cry, flip, ...) with numbers for delay, cost and experience.

To view the page, go here:
http://www.ah.wakwak.com/~pachipro/index.html
and then look for the "Dungeon Master" section in the left menu.

I wonder if the info on this page is accurate...

Only looked at this quickly, but it doesn't look remotely accurate. For instance, it reckons using CHOP gives you 0 experience which we all know is rubbish. I would treat lists like this with caution.

Anyway who cares? Half the fun of playing DM is retaining the air of mystery about skills and experience. The downside to the new interest in DM is that everyone is very busy trying to decode all the internal workings which reduces it to nothing more than science, and that's not what games are about in my opinion, especially Dungeon Master.

Umm..actually chop is down twice..once as experience 0 and once as experience 9 further down. However....well did anyone ever find that Fuse gave experience because that page says it doesn't....and I'm sure Calm does but the page says it does not...

I fully agree with Gambit. I have finished Dungeon Master only one time, and want to explore new things, so I just browse as fast as I can when I see new discoveries on these forums.

The mystery is soon gone totally...

I have been a bit active on DM boards/forums for years,
but I have never started DMute.

Another note.

I have the Adventurer's Handbooks for both Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back but I haven't read them yet.

Hmm, chop is available as an instant option no matter the fighter level for hardcleave and fury...i wonder if, with these weapons, you get no experience from using chop (it's a different version?)

I've played DM so many times thaty's it's now interesting to find out all these little details i've never uncovered...I'm not playing the game enough anymore to be able to pick up on these things.

For example, finally finding out the effects of the gemn of ages and actually noticing it now, or findsing out where those fireballs go when they hit the black flames...

Dm is still the same DM...no one is flashing the experience points on screen so I can still forget the mechanics enough to enjoy it while playing. I've done it in the past with things like monsters...I don't add up the damage in my head now I know what health the creatures have.

I suppose I do agree with Daniel's reasoning about DMute, it does ruin it slightly...until then I never realised things like monster generation were goverened by actualy floor tiles (I though entering an area triggered a random placement), and so forth. So now in DM i find myself playing 'guess the generator point', or knowing when to throw objects over tiles. Ah well : )

umm...so where do those fireballs go when they hit the black flame things.

Chop is an instant option on the axe as I'm sure people know..just helps to get the neophyte and novice levels of fighter much quicker.

axe isn't instant, but it is much easier to get chop with an axe than with a falchion, etc...which, as you say, is cool : )

The fireballs get absorbed and turned into health for the black flame...groovy, huh?

ahh I thought that happened..just thought you meant they end up getting transported somewhere. I just used to think fire attacks at a fire creature would heal it as happens in games like Final Fantasy.
