You just have to execute ctmousep.exe before running the game. If it does not work, then you'll have to find another driver for your mouse.

you need to know where the file is, probably in a folder like c:\ctmouse. Look for it in windows forst if you like.
so then type in the command:

c:\ctmouse\ctmouse.exe

You can add that line to your autoexec.bat so that the programme is run automatically

Thing is, those are the correct lines!
That should activate the mouse, then run dm

what Op system are you using?

The way I check I have mouse under dos quickly is to run scandisk.exe right after i run the mouse...you chould have a cursor of sorts there to move around, then quickly exit out.

AHA! You are running windows, and opening up a MS-Dos window?

If so, the double clicking on the dm.exe icon SHOULD give you a working mouse under DM, as it is using the drivers in Windows.
So it is your windows mouse drivers that are the problem.

I was talking as if you were in pure dos (if you use the 'restart under DOS' option for example when shutting down).
Try this and see if you can get it working using the above commands...to get back into windows afterwards, type the command 'win'.

If your mouse works under dos this way, then you should probably search around for a better mouse driver on the web for working under windows.

I'll give it a try for the new mouse driver and see what happens...

Finally, i got it !!!
:)

The problem was me... The two caracters / and \ make a difference in dos.
I feel dumb.
But i got it.

Well thanks to you Beowuuf and Christophe for the time you spend on this. It was not useless, now i know a little about DOS.

You mention a PS/2 mouse, in which case you should use CTMOUSEP.EXE instead of CTMOUSE.EXE. Did it work with CTMOUSE.EXE?? or maybe you don't have a PS/2 mouse but rather a serial one?
