Does anyone ever tryed to do all the combinations of spells ?
26 Working, out of 258 Posibilitys seem a little low to me.

I want to do it, but i need to level-up first.

Yup, alot of people have done that - iether all GOR combinations, or every single combination

The variety of runes gave them a chance to make spells actually make sence when cast, I guess.

I write these down now.
In a couple of days i will return here if i find some new spells.

I don't think you will find any new spell, because so many people tried all the combinations before! (including myself)

Well a long time ago I played DM1 on my old Atari and I created detailed maps of the whole dungeon and I tried every fucking combination of runes :) I dont remember any spells except those outlined on this site...

Besides, all spells are already on this site.

wow 258 combinations and they only made a handful of spells.....hmm maybe there's a way to make more somehow...guess it's time to learn hex editing.

Pardon my inept mathematical prowess if I have calculated this wrongly, but I can only find 216 possible spells if you use any power level.

Without thinking too much about it, it can't be 258 anyway. It has to work as 6x6x6 so that's 216. If you include the powers (which you shouldn't) it'd be 1,296...which clearly is not the case!

Do not forget that spells can have 1, 2 or 3 runes. So the total number is:
6*6*6 + 6*6 + 6 = 216 + 36 + 6 = 258.

Considering 6 power runes that'd make 1554 combinations (including senseless casting of single power runes).

As soon as I switched of my computer I thought, 'Bugger, you can have spells with less than 3 runes!" Ah well, I guess I should stop sending messages when I have had a few Stellas :-)

I only make 25 spells...

I think that all there is in dm....only 25 or so spells.

What a waste of runes..Igmagine the destructive power we could've had with more spells to use.:-)
