Is there a DM 1+2 for Win?

Hello Folks!
Thanks you all for your help with all my previous questions. I resently had to reformat my brand new 1,4 gigahetz computer which ended upp with the result that the Dos-games lost their sound (my usual luck). I use Win95 an have tried to reinstall it several times but...no sound in Dos games (so my life is over...).
The only game I can play nowadays is Paul Stevens CSB (God bless him). And yesterday in the store I did find a CD with 12 Atari Classics, a remake of golden oldies to Windows (instead of Dos). Is there any such remake of DM or DM2 that is available i some way (and maybe even of other similair games, I know for example that Cinemaware is making remakes of their old classics like "defender of the Crown" etc.).
And one last question: Is it possible for dos games just to quit working in newer computers? Is anything changing in the hardware when using dos-games or is it some hardware failure? The store where I bought it tells me that it is normal that Dos-games quit working after a while on new computers, but I think that is (as we say in Sweden): "Skitsnack"
Im thankful for your expertise, thanks in advance!
Your Sincerely /Daniel (Sweden)
