Is there a DM 1+2 for Win?

Hello Folks!

Thanks you all for your help with all my previous questions. I resently had to reformat my brand new 1,4 gigahetz computer which ended upp with the result that the Dos-games lost their sound (my usual luck). I use Win95 an have tried to reinstall it several times but...no sound in Dos games (so my life is over...).
The only game I can play nowadays is Paul Stevens CSB (God bless him). And yesterday in the store I did find a CD with 12 Atari Classics, a remake of golden oldies to Windows (instead of Dos). Is there any such remake of DM or DM2 that is available i some way (and maybe even of other similair games, I know for example that Cinemaware is making remakes of their old classics like "defender of the Crown" etc.).
And one last question: Is it possible for dos games just to quit working in newer computers? Is anything changing in the hardware when using dos-games or is it some hardware failure? The store where I bought it tells me that it is normal that Dos-games quit working after a while on new computers, but I think that is (as we say in Sweden): "Skitsnack"
Im thankful for your expertise, thanks in advance!

Your Sincerely /Daniel (Sweden)

You can play DM through CSB4win if you replace the dungeon.dat file with the DM one. You have sound, 4 game slots... what more could a Dungeon Master want?

Well The dos thing you can blame that On microsoft claiming that "its too hard" to use dos. In other words they're tryign to get rid of it which is why it doesn't work that well.

Well, that's why I kicked off even WinMe from my machine after purchasing it and replaced it with good ol' Win98.
