You don't remove them. If you pick up their bones you can bring them back to life (ressurect them) at an Altar of Rebirth.

That's an interesting response from Randolph Boots Jr.

I've always made the assumption that DM fans know about all the other versions/clones/forums, but clearly there's a problem! I think it's because a lot of people simply find these forums by doing a web search and then never explore the website itself. It's been a common problem in the past, and I guess one can't predict how people think, but I would have thought it would be obvious to take a look around the site.

RBJr: If you select General from the menu on the left, then select Clones, you'll see a list of other versions of DM that you can try...

More haste and less speed and all that! :-)

Just incase people don't know, I still try and keep up the Jump-point

www.dmjump.net

I post a summary of the news from all sources (mainly here!), and there is an archive section, though everything else (hopefully not for too much longer, though) is quite outdated.

Hehe ...

An altar of rebirth is a little alcove in the wall with two green/yellow prongs pointing inwards. Put the bones on it and boom, your party member comes back to life!

Chiefy - from seeing a few of your posts, it seems to me you are getting a few of the versions confused

DMJava is a totally different version of dungeon master programmed in java from what you are doing

The text files i think you have been playing with at the moment are for a more faithful DM clone called Return to Chaos

However, editors such as dmute are primarily used to edit the original DM dungeon files - its jus tthat since DMute and RTC come from the same person, then he had make it possible to port DM dungeons to his clone

Good luck with the dungeon, btw - if you are still having problems, try the RTC forum linked at the top of all posts/forums

yikes
I was on the wrong forum al this time, thanks you were correct

I went on the link you pointed out and found the correct forum

still
seems a shame we can't have just one LARGE board
I don't think there are THAT many dungeoneers around
and rather than splitting down into different forums, it seems to me that it would be so much nicer, to have one board with different topic "headings"

still, I saw a few familiar members on the RTC forum so - see you over there eh ? :-)

Well, the RTC and DMJava issue can be found both on Cowsmanauts site: http://www.cgfiles.com/cowsmanaut/forum/
It is largely replacing the old RTC forum.
I don't think that there is a problem with a few sites being dedicated to DM, for all of them have their very own advantages. But you could use Beowuuf's jump point to have a starting site wigh links to all other interesting dm related sites.

yes, cowsmanaut has alot of the regulars here, and he is trying for a slow sure move to his site, without pop-ups, rather than ezboard, which has pop ups
George reads both, so questiosn to either board should be answered

The jump-point is http://www.dmjump.net, the news, archive and and forum links are up to date, you might find everything else on there hideously outdated though!

unfortunately cowsmanaut's site, although flipping SLICK, does not comply with NTL internet TV rules so I can't use it
both this site and the RTC site DO COMPLY however and I have no trouble replying or making new topics here therefore I have to stick with the old 2
